Just Curious to know whether we still have to wait 21 days to receive the Rewards inbox rather then just claim it, if completed week 5 on day 1 itself..
Safe bet is you will have to wait. One person suggested instead of points, we get these as currency for an EOP store. Sorry man, but your going to have to suffer in patience like the rest of us. I'll be Paragon as soon as the rewards hit, so I feel your pain.
This is the last we saw about it. Would love to see if they’ve made any sort of developments or progress for the upcoming EOPs or even this one right now

The devs said they would look at this, but the one thing they are not going to do is change the event while it is running. That has too high a risk of breaking the event, and potentially breaking the rewards for something as high value as EoP is not worth any time savings they might be able to introduce.
I hope they don't change it. We all knew when we're getting the rewards. When the timer on the event ends. I like it when everyone gets their rewards at the same time, regardless if one player does it on first day it drops or on the last day. It levels the playing field for everyone. There are plenty of other areas of the game where if you put in a little more time or little more money in it, you'll get ahead faster than those who don't. This isn't that. Deal with it.
The dev team explored a couple different alternatives to reduce the wait period for rewards; they worked with some of our content creators to try to find a suitable solution. They determined that there is no approachable solution that will satisfy everyone.
Some have suggested a store that allows summoners to purchase using incrementally acquired currency, but that would be a large undertaking for the dev team. Additionally, as DNA has pointed out, attempting to implement an alternative in a short turnaround could spell disaster where bugs are concerned.

Can you run the communication department for our local school district? You'd do such a better job. Thanks for all you do.
Solutions that content creators enjoyed, why isn't that being implemented? Would love some details instead of fluff and non-answers. What did you explore? Why didn't it work?
No one needs such a long timer for the final event - if you do this 'end game content' isn't for you. Surely pandering to those that do, whole annoying a majority of people isn't a good idea.

While I agree rushing things out without testing is a recipe for disaster, and nothing should be done for this second cycle... there are so many similar examples of this happen, such as the "replacement of the summoner appreciation calendar", which requires specific objectives in order to receive a currency (sunglasses), and so many stores that use currencies that come in and out of the game... that it is really hard to believe making one more is really that much effort. Sure it may require waiting until cycle 4 to get into the dev queue (could have been cycle 3 if it were started when the idea was first mentioned in forum)... but exaggerating the difficulty of this while doing exactly this for daily deal stamps, resort currencies, ore, etc. (let along every other monthly event or so that does something similar)... really smells like a fake excuse.
I don't really see the problem, its just a matter of waiting. The mechanics are clear, its not like AW where you need to wait before alliannce hopping.

Just seems unnecessarily long which is annoying after you've spent 5 weeks tackling it already. It's frustrating to dangle those rewards in front of you is all.

There could be a more player-friendly approach.
