You weren't around in 2019 when the chair made his appearance, so just to let you in the loop, I'm pretty sure it was avengers end game EQ and they were going through different dimensions. They came across a dimension where EVERYTHING had been wiped out, and the ruler of the dimension was all powerful chair. It is one of the greatest characters introduced to mcoc.

In the MCOC EQ story, not sure it was a dimension where everything else was wiped out. Just that the Chair is who (what) we encountered there (and which told us to leave that place).

Some say a waste of units but let's look at it this way. You could use units for cav crystals and get some 3* champ. You could use units for big deals (like Cyber Weekend) and get some big r4 mats. Rank up materials, and any star champ can be aquired in several means in the game. But there is only way to get THE chair!

The only downside here is you can't buy Chair twice!

It’s all about what you value in game, if you like to get 3*s and a few other rarities, you’ll go for crystals. If you like to beat content, you’ll go for revives/heals. If you like to be able to have a cool pic on your profile, you go for those. Not really a wrong answer here.

Side note: it seems sort of rude (to me at least) to tell people that they’re wasting units going after what they want.

Hell no, i 100% agree with Brian on this one. Thats why im 3m rating and i dont even have act6 100% yet lol still gotta do 3 lines on the GM, waiting on the revive stash to grow again, which will take sometime considering EOP and Gauntlet...
