Selling grey boosts and pots for loyalty instead of gold

I’d much rather have loyalty for these items, used loyalty to purchase them. Why not be able to sell them back for loyalty?

In general, probably because most of the potions and boosts you can buy for loyalty are also acquirable in other ways, and the game doesn't keep track of what comes from where. So they don't allow that sort of selling because then they would have to worry about the economic impact of those items being convertable into loyalty from other sources.
