Last year the one time pass was more expensive, now you don’t have to pick it up all months if you don’t want to resulting in a more player friendly experience
How exactly is it a more friendly player experience when overall it's more expensive? And in terms of the platinum hexabadge reward, the only ones worth getting cost 3, further forcing you to pay all three times.
In at least one respect it is a bit more friendly. Because the event was broken up into three parts, players have more grace days now then they did before (since every section has its own group of grace days). There are players who missed days the first time and bought boosters that would likely not need them in this iteration.
If you don't miss a day, this wouldn't matter. But the players who never miss a day and never lose any rewards aren't the ones that need or would notice a more friendly event.
Last year it was one purchase of $15, this year it's 3 purchases of $10. Got to love that inflation over the past year.

Well, this year it’s actually 15$ / month to get everything Might be more as it seems you can buy the 7 days booster up to 4 times. Anyway, the point is that to get everything throughout the entire event (3x 33 days), cost more than last year for people paying.
Last year = $15. This year = $30. Not including any boosters. People will still argue
Technically, you needed to spend $20 to get everything, because the extra days translated to extra shards from extra milestones you could not have gotten had you only bought the $15 pass. I bought the pass+ that time, specifically for those shards.
This time around, *if* you buy all three passes and *if* you don't miss any days, I don't think boosters will add any rewards. I believe the bonus shards are available to you if you don't skip any days, and there's no way for "extra days" to add more shards because the event ends and the next one begins, truncating that event's duration.
I haven't actually bothered to compare everything you could have gotten from the original event to the sum total of this year's triple event, so I have no idea what the apples to apples comparison is. But in terms of maxing the event last year verses this year, it is $20 vs $30. If there's any advantage to buying boosters this year if you don't miss a day, I don't know what it is and I'm not buying them. So for me specifically, it is $20 to max last year and $30 to max this year.
You're trying really hard to be right but all the booster did is give 7 extra days of shards. No different than buying the $5 booster this year.
Lol no. It's literally in the screenshot "unlocks additional milestones". Pass+ was $20 and included more rewards. Enjoy dying on this hill.
It literally says it's an additional 7 day grace period which equals the extra shards...you kind of remind me of the manmyth guy that used to always be on the forums. He would tell everyone he hardly spends then tried selling his account for $1500 to make some of it back.
