Mephisto SP3 two power bar drains the opponent only the first time in a fight?

Just discovered that Mephisto SP3 power drains only works the first time in a fight, is it because it needs to be awakened to be able to work properly? Or is it a glitch?

    I must admit I sometimes make this mistake, but I usually catch it before I get to the point of posting about it.

    Go back and read the power description. Very slowly, very carefully, from the beginning.

    He was designed that way or you could stack tons of incinerate damage and power gain with several auras. It would be nice if we could still power drain though
