You have to consider the list was made when he came out.
Back then, the meta was different.

Having to update it routinely doesn't seem like a worthy way of time or energy spent.

It could be changed to a champions tagged with x tag but I would rather other champs that are more in need get some attention.

That would be the best long-term solution. Otherwise it needs constantly updated.

One version could be a similar ability that rewarded him for fighting stronger opponents - fighting opponents with 2x, 3x 5x his PI could increase his Persistent Charge gain by 15%, 30%, 45%. That could make it genuinely useful in endgame content (where you won't find many of the current 12 on defense...).

Or it could be an ability that triggers against #Elder, #God, and on the last node of the quest.

Something like that?

In all honesty, it was a really cool idea that unfortunately aged very quickly to irrelevance. I think more in part to The Champion himself not really landing as an offensive champion and at least half the champs on that list being below average defenders that didn't really require a specific attacker.
