AW diversity points

Hey. Trying to understand how diversity points works in AW. Our alliance been trying not to have more than 2 of same defender in same bg, yet our diversity points are between 100-127... Why? Will it affects the diversity if 2 of same defender are in all 3 bgs? Meaning it will count as 6 of same defender and that will drop our diversity points?? We have thought that diversity points count each bg separately... We need an explanation...

then obviously if someone doesnt place defenders 0 champs add 0 diversity, so 100-127 is a strange number to see if all 30 players are placing unique champs in their respective bg.(you can have a doom, apoc, and magneto, in bg 1,2 and 3. just make sure its only one per bg tho)

    Yes, counted separately per bg

To reiterate an earlier reply, it is not from just not having duplicates.
So you can’t say that we just placed only 30 champs, but they are all unique. That only gets you 30 points out of a possible 50 for that BG.

So not placing is basically the same as if placing a Dup that someone else already has on the board.

And to clarify further, placing a Dup does NOT take away the initial 1 point from the first person's placement of him. It just doesn’t give you a 2nd point for the Dup'd champ by the 2nd player placing a same champ.
So extreme case, of the 50 champs in BG1, there are 25 different champs, and each champ has exactly 1 Dup as well. That still gives you 25 points (not zero points).
