I just spent 500 units and still in phase 2. I cant get her in the invisible trap. Such bs
Just look at where her feet are when she ends the special that is placing the trap. I used a “landmark” in the background of the map. Back up and parry until the trap set prompt appears. Then push her with a long range special attack.
I spent a few revives and a few potions. It was actually a fun fight in theory, but the visual bugs really ruin it. Apparently that extra week didn’t really help Kabam do what they needed to to it to get it ready for release.
For now, 0 revives but just 1 run with the best team possible. Overall, I think without the bug this would be a quite easy fight. 100 - 70 Stryfe 70 - 40 Ultron 40 - 10 Fury 10 - 0 Apoc Cable was already dead
4 revives. Used Hercules. She was a paid to get her to her SP 2. Had I been able to make that happen then I would have beaten her with probably 2 revives. Not seeing the traps didn’t help either
I used like 3 revives, and died more to not being able to see Kitty’s phasing and messing up than really to Scytalis. I also just didn’t pay much attention to the path and lost 3 champs there from lack of effort on my part. I would’ve tried harder but I had revives expiring anyways.
Spent 2 revives on 1 link: it was my mistake that I didn't follow the node. The node specifically said to trap yourself and use special to get prowess, I realised it later and I dindnt have anyone in team as backup with prowess for last 5% phase.
Do you all think we’ll get compensated due to VFX issues in game ?
- 8.1 scytalis visual traps - Battleground kraven visual traps are missing. Some BS damage - Galan planets visuals - Phasing glitch of kitty, hood, invisible woman, ghost, etc.
I don’t know. I’m not a huge fan of asking/demanding comp every time there’s a hiccup in the game, but I can see them actually ponying up for this one. The Scytalis one alone changes the whole tenor of the fight. I was playing Ghost before I came onto the message board and saw the bug confirmation and got absolutely wrecked because I assumed she wasn’t phasing. Spent a few revives on that fight.
Fully explored. No items other than energy and a healing potion here or there. She, like the rest of 8.1, was an extremely easy fight imo. Very fun though. 8.1 as a whole was very enjoyable to explore.
This visual bug made me come to a realization. I don't use certain visual cues at all while playing lol. Didn't impact my gameplay whatsoever with Kitty/Ghost/other champs with visual effects. As far as the traps being invisible, I thought it would be rough to figure out where they were, but it was actually relatively easy if you used the background as a marker for the general area where Scytalys' specials ended.
I'm waiting for the VFX fix to do that fight, but watching others on YT it does not look like a fight that needs units. Maybe a few revives the first time, to get used to the mechanic of pushing her into her traps and such.
I did the fight anyway. One revive, and yeah b/c the traps were invisible. But it’s not a hard fight.
I just wrapped up my Chap 7 exploration last week, so between that and EoP my units and pots are a bit depleted. I did completion runs on 8.1.1-8.1.5 but going to hold off on Scytalys until the visual bug is fixed or my units/pots are back up to a reasonable level.

In other words - nothing and I want to keep it that way.

Ok I lied. Had a number of 30/30 boosts in overflow so decided to practice the Mutant/caltrops path and the boss. Made it through the path easily and had her to 40% itemless, then realized I had a team revive in overflow so figured what the hell. Got her down with two team revives.
Will be a very straightforward fight once the visual bug is fixed. I AM waiting for that before doing exploration though.
I fought her bugged 6 times to explore the map. I'll give you an advice. After she throw special dash back as far as possible and wait until trap active to throw your own special. She will fall into her own traps easily.
She is an easier opponent than Grandmaster and Gwenmaster for sure.
Why would I spend hard earned money on this game??? I can ask myself this question but I'm just thinking aloud so u guys can ask yourselves that question. This game used to be the greatest thing since sliced bread now hummm.trying to think of a good analogy but too drunk probably.
1 shotted her with r4 herc everytime when i was 100% it. Although you cant see the traps i presumed she drops them at her feet like kraven, so i moved her forward abit after her special and then just thumped her back with an sp1 - job done. Hercs damage makes the fight pretty quick. Also used white mags pre fight ability each time to smack her about even harder lol.
