Regarding the 2k 6* shards price in incursions

So I like the incursions update and the rewards buff of course but, for me the 6* basic is kinda useless since there's around 3-4 champs I want from there, and I already have all the useful champs in the 6* incursion crystals. So for me all I open is 6* featureds and that's not just me alot of people either opening current featured or saving for the next one so can kabam please adjust the price of the 2k shards?

    Well I disagree, the point to incursions is the incursions crystal. They already provide a ton of shards via rooms that if you don’t need one of the incursions crystals then save and wait or buy the inflated cost of shards. Seems reasonable to me.

    Just for some perspective.

    6* basic crystal costs 54k artifacts in the incursion store

    2x 2000 6* shards would cost you 64k artifacts in the incursion store

    Make it make sense. Why is 4000 shards costing more than a 6* crystal? I would assume this was just an oversight. The prices for everything that already existed in the store didn't change as far as I can tell, which is fine for all the 3,4,5* stuff. But once you introduce 6* crystals in the incursion store, the price of the 6* shards should be re-evaluated. It simply just doesn't make sense for 2000 shards to cost that much.

    Some math for what the cost could be:
    If a 6* basic crystal represents 10k shards and costs 54k artifacts, then 1 6* shard costs 5.4 artifacts.
    So 5.4 artifacts per 6* shard would mean the cost of 2000 shards should be 10.8k artifacts.
    So a cost of 11k-15k seems reasonable.

    I can't imagine that they designed it in a way where they don't want us getting shards through the incursion store. Sectors 7-9, if you can complete every zone, grants something like 30k 6* shards. Seems counterintuitive if they would give us more 6* shards through incursion zone completion but prevent us from gaining 6* shards through the store.

    I think this was just oversight by Kabam (at least I hope, because it really doesn't make sense) considering they didn't change any of the other prices in the store, so they could have easily just overlooked the price of the 6* shards in comparison to the 6* crystals. I mean, there's no reason that I can see that 6000 shards costs 96k artifacts while a 6* basic or 6* incursion crystal cost 54k and 81k respectively.

    It could be that they don't want lower tier players getting 6* shards through incursions. And if that's the case, just make the store progression-based or tier-based. As a paragon player, I shouldn't be held back on 6* shard purchases in the incursion store just because they don't want an uncollected player getting 2000 6* shards as easily.

    My point is, if the 2k shards are available to be bought, well at least make them available for a reasonable price + the incursions crystals usually have old champs ( doesn't mean they're bad of course) but old champs are most probably available to most big accounts ( you can check any content creator account and you'll see that they have 95% of the champs outside featureds)

    Oh yeah, in that case absolutely shards for featured would be a great option. I’m saving for the next featured as well. Would much prefer the shards.

    There's still no reason why the shards are that inflated. The 6* crystal in there is no different than the one you can buy for 10k shards. There's no reason why buying the basic 6* crystal costs 54k artifacts while 10k shards--which can buy you the exact same crystal--costs 160k. 300% price makes no sense, no matter how you want to view this. If it was like 20% inflated, I wouldn't complain. If 5 bundles of 2k shards costed 70k artifacts, that's fine. But 160k artifacts for 5 bundles of 2k shards is not even in the ballpark of a reasonable offer in the store.

    RNG is one of the biggest complaints of the game and the store significantly reduces it. I think Kabam wants to push us to use the store to buy incursion crystals. If there’s 30k of 6* shards from completing the rooms anyway it’s not like they are being stingy on the 6* shard availability. If that is the case then I guess I can see the arguments both way on this one. I have a personal preference which is shards all the way, but I can understand why Kabam wouldn’t do that.

    See but I think the availability of shards through completing zones isn't a justification for a 300% mark up on shards through the store. 10k shards grants you the same crystal you can buy for 54k artifacts, but buying 10k shards costs 160k artifacts. If 10k shards could be bought for 70k or 80k, I would understand that.

The cost could be an oversight and could be changed, I don’t have a problem with it personally. Although, when incursions came out it was meant to target champions more easily with a 1/10 chance. So pushing to buy those crystals with the incentive of room rewards to ultimately buy incursions crystals makes sense to me. If they lower it great, if they don’t then it still make sense.

    I think this is just an error/leftover from the prior store.

    I had purchase 1x 2k 6-star shards during the original cycle, and it showed that my current limit was 2/3 max. Incursions went offline and then back online today. The new store items were there, but also the 2/3 2000 6-star shards.

    I bought one of the new items in the Incursion store. I just booted up the game recently, and no longer see any sign of the 2000 6-star shards in my incursion store.

    Those crystals are pretty pointless if you have everyone that's in them though. I'd be fine with the shards being somewhat more expensive relative to the basic crystal but over 3x is just far too much.

    So how about making it's price logical? Since more people might need it for various reasons. That's the whole point of the post, if it's there make it affordable, I just had to buy the basic 6* and it was a reminder why I don't bother with basics anymore

    Which is fine if that's the main goal. That doesnt mean that incursions have to be completely pointless for others though.

    I purchased some shards shortly before the announcement that things were changing. No way I would have done that if I had known. Getting the run around from support.

    It’s crazy they change the store during its timer and won’t adjust purchases.

    Even with these changes, I feel like the store is outdated. It's too little too late.

    Some good changes to actual incursions play, like solo and tier 9 but the store is still a disappointment.

    There's not one champ that I want in the store crystals, well ok, maybe one or 2.
