Matchmaking basis in victory track

I had 1.3 m rating and a deck of 3 r4s, 10 r3s and a mixture of max 5* and 6* r2s, iam matching with rosters double my ratings, iam in silver 1
At first I thought, "yeah iam not supposed to be here this soon, this will even out in a week or two"
But then I went over my friends list and saw people with 1 m rating and cavs are in gold 2
Iam really wondering what is the catch here

Matchmaking is garbage.

There’s a lot of cheats floating about too. At the moment I’d be very suspicious of any Cav players in Gold. If Cav/tb players are dodging hard matchups and sneaking through then the matchmaking needs to be looked at again.

I’m not sure where the real sweats are at like @BitterSteel and Beroman etc, but for perspective I’ve just hit P3 and have barely played any non-Paragon players and the couple I have were cheats. I’ve gone the furthest of those in my alliance too.

Also as far as your roster goes, that sounds like a pretty developed deck even if the rest of your roster isn’t enormous- I have 5 R4 and the rest of my deck are R3 with a BHR of 2.7m so you’re powerful for the rating.

In that case the matchmaking needs to be fixed. I’ve faced 4 accounts under 2m in my last 25 matches, of which at least 1 was cheating and the others were in Silver.

im tb in silver 2, i have 5 r3*s and everyone else is at 5* maxed level. I do have a suspicion its tied to progression level somewhat

And that is garbage. Paragons are facing other Paragons starting in Bronze and TB/CAV players are breezing through.

20 Matches this season so far as a Paragon player. I think I've only had 2 where my opponent was significantly below me in account development. Otherwise, I'm mostly facing other Paragons.

Yeah I’ve been matched with good accounts, very few had significantly smaller accounts- a few 100k which is kind of irrelevant when it comes to R4/3/2
