War enlistment

Why is it that sometimes we are automatically enlisted for the next war and sometimes we are not? My alliance is now missing out on a season war because we were not enlisted. We have been enlisted for every war for as long as I can remember. I get it that I messed up by not checking, but at the same time we've been enlisted for most wars without me having to check it

    Maybe one of your officers have been enlisting you because there is no automatic enlistment.

    There is no auto-enlistment.

    If you are saying that you are the ONLY officer in the alliance, then that would be odd.
    But ANY Officer (or leader) can Enlist for the next War.

    And, FYI, you can enlist for the next war at almost any time after the existing war's defense placement phase has begun (after the first few hours that current placement begins). So enlistment could have been done by any officer over the course of nearly 2 days before matchmaking for that next one starts. **3 days if it is during the Sunday/Monday war, because of the extra off day each week.
