Did they change the ranking system for 22 hour events?

I placed 239th in the Event quest 22 hour event and placed 11-20 percent. I really doubt less than 2390 people qualified for the event. They only way I can figure this is that rank rewards are broken down by title as well. Even though I placed 239 I was in the 11-20 percent of paragon players. Since the updated rewards I have been giving the same results as previously but placing much lower. Let me know if you have some insight.

I wonder if they are weird but considering it is only paragon players in that division it does make sense. I barely got every milestone for hero use and that was good enough to place me in the bottom tier of ranked rewards 🤣

Just going to add that this event quest completion literally came on the last day of the month. I wouldn't be surprised if that small of a number of people qualified for it.

Here is the same event from a TB, you can see the leaderboards are different, yes you are separated due to the rewards tiers.

Also keep in mind the EQ 22-hr Solo is the least participated in as far as reaching final Milestone and qualifying for Ranks.
May have been some people loading up refills final day and qualified this time, but far less would have done it because they were already finished with the monthly EQ already.

Also, since different progressions are in different 22-hr Solo cycles, it doesn’t group everyone into same event on same day.
And that could have been further impacted by whatever the end result of that “change” to the cycle for some progression(s) was few days ago, lessening the number of people who fall on that event on the same day anymore.

**But your question may be valid (or perhaps *should* be how they do Ranks).
If those below UC (or even at just UC) use the same cycle as TB or Paragon (and even if different cycle, 2 of the 4 events may overlap between the 2 cycles), it probably would be nice to give Rank rewards based on what other progression you are compared to.

That might be why the increase in rewards was seen on that 2nd bak-2-bak day of Levelup for higher progressions, whereas UC cycle *and* rewards stayed the same.

Yes and no. It doesn't guarantee it per say but in practice yes because Paragons are likely the most active group of summoners.
