Gifting

Hey all.

Sorry if this is not the place. I have just returned after a lengthy absence (had to shelve gaming due to a double family bereavement that forced me to move home).

In my absence, my alliance collapsed. I am now the only member.

I have nobody to trade gifts with. I have one of everything. If somebody could please add me and trade, it would be greatly appreciated.

Again, apologies if this is the wrong place. I've tried global chat but it feels like I'm just shouting into the void.

It's because what you are asking isn't possible anymore. Just buy yourself greater banquet crystals for solo objectives you may want.

The items are still showing up in my inventory and gifting is showing as open. Is there nobody out there in a similar situation?

You have to be in an alliance for a certain amount of time before you can claim alliance milestones. You won't be in the alliance long enough before it expires.

The good news is, unlike previous years, you buy the GGC for yourself (now GBC) instead of having to trade for them.

Gifting GGCs is no longer a thing. The event turned into buying crystals on your own vs exchanging them with friends or alliance members.

You can Gift the Accolades items that you got in mail and calendar to people outside of any alliance.

Gifting away those Accolades will earn you Solo Accolade Event milestones which reward you with Greater Banquet Crystals for yourself.

(you would just need to add someone(s) as Friends and then Gift those Accolades to them)
They may return the favor and send you their Accolades, but that doesn’t really get you anything other than perhaps a profile pic or title (if you get enough of them in return).

I thought people were saying at the beginning that they only got credit for gifting accolades within their alliance and if they sent to outside friends it wasn't counting? Did that not happen or did it get fixed?

Someone did think that at first, but then they did get the points (or they realized they hadn’t actually sent out all of them that were available to send). Same thread, proof was subsequently shown that you do indeed get credit for sending outside of alliance.
And other threads were speculating because of the language.
