BG point system needs reevaluation

This is why the only reason I do BG is for ally event…and I only do a handful. Other than that I have no interest because of the point system

Do you think no points should be awarded for length of the fight?

Yea. If they are going to call it a “tie breaker”, then ut should be used in the event of a tie occurring

I agree. Time only matters in AQ and AW and even then there’s plenty of time. In quests and objectives that require skill, time isn’t a contributing factor. BG in my opinion is a test of skill between players but the point system is just “kill them faster and you win”

They don't call it a tie breaker. Its part of scoring in BG.

I guess you need to update your list of when timing counts to include BG. Because it has been that way since the beginning. Killing a champ quick is also skill based (and champ/counter based).

Nah man it’s been called a tie breaker since scoring was announced. You’re right though. It is a part of scoring and it is just because their definition of tie breaker is different than everyone else’s. While I understand it is a part of scoring(maybe too much at times) this is just the hill I’ve chosen to die on

I see no issue here - your opponent ko’d your defender 40 seconds faster.

The scoring is black and white - if you go slow and safe you will already run this risk.

There has been 4 seasons of BG and people are still complaining about a scoring system that everyone should know how it works by now. I understand complaining about the BG disconnection bug that makes you lose. Serious common now, it's a very simple scoring system that has 3 parameters. Just in case people still don't know (don't like it since it didn't benefit them) - attackers health is worth max 15K, defenders health is worth max 30k and time is worth max 15K. Once the match is over, the total points are added and the one with the highest wins that round. Best two out of three. However Kabam word "time" as the tiebreaker for scoring doesn't matter since it been the same scoring scoring system for 4 seasons now that counts time as points from the get go. If they change it in the future then there's going to be someone else that will complain once it doesn't benefit them. This is getting silly. So many whiners that are so entitle to everything.

If time wasn't relevant the game mode would be so stale. Everyone would just use KG, Kingpin, Diablo, etc. for every fight since they are so good at finishing with 100% health. If the community and Kabam feel that the weights of these 3 scoring parameters need to change that's one thing but I think it's incredibly balanced to have attacker health remaining and time interact with each other the way they do. The person who wins the round should be the person who put on a more impressive performance. Getting a KO with 98% health remaining in sub 30 seconds is a dominant performance. Having a situation where you could KO the opponent but aren't because you are waiting on willpower to top you up. Stop pretending that BGs is different than it is. It's a race to KO your opponent and you get docked points for losing health or taking longer. It is not a test of health preservation.
