KABAM expect us to buy crystals and dupe champs to acquire ISO. They won't give us any more until 7 star champs drop at the very least, and even then I wouldn't expect it.

I haven't spent any units or money on Cav crystals in months. Manage your rank ups and you'll be fine.
Iso allways gonna be an issue because Kabam want to keep the gold as a valuable resource. So they don't gonna give you toons of iso to prevent to you to sell it for gold.
ISO shortage? What ISO shortage? I’m Paragon for a few months now and I’ve actually slowed down in grinding arena. I still so EQ side EQ and participate in AW. I have 6 R4 6* champs that benefit my fighting style and quite a few R3 6* champs that are good for me too. I don’t rank up every 6* because I don’t know if they fit my play style or if I will use them anywhere else in the game. I get that there are many variables that other players might consider ranking up champs for, but like other players have stated, you have to prioritize your rank ups.
If u are pulling champs that you want to level and rank up and running into a ISO shortage... Its cause u had a thin roster, also we are in a middle of a transition... I'll give an example.. at some point on the forums there was a ton of posts from fairly newer accounts asking "I have a maxed 5" Doom, and i just pulled a 6*.. should I rank it up?"... Now u don't see those that much.. The game has its own economy... Like someone said.. like real life resource management is important... Just cause u go to a all you can eat restaurant, it doesnt mean u gotta eat 3 days worth of food and starve the next 3 days... The game is set on values that allow profitting... Look at infographics from 1 year ago.. at a casual rate you were allowed to open maybe 2 6* a month.. now its more... Its a never ending cycle... Seeing Conquerors and UC with 6* is not natural.. it will be at some point; but its not how it was initially planned... And when I say Conq or UC I am not limitting to those.. its not the same a Paragon with 3* r4s and 20 r3s than one with 15 r4s and 80 r3s...
I begin to wonder why certain shortages are created, without any relevant mechanics to compensate, depending on certain time of investment ingame etc..
There are mitigation mechanisms, which resource-minded players utilize. The people doing this are not all whales spending tons of money on Cavs. I don't do that, and I manage. It is more about efficiency and careful planning, both of which offer benefits to someone willing to employ them.
That doesn't mean *everyone* can or is willing to do this, so if you're saying there are no mechanics to compensate given the way you choose to play then yes, that's true of everything. You have all those 6* champs and no ISO to rank them up. What do you tell players who have ISO, but don't have those 6* champs? Should there be a way for them to get those without changing how they play? The stuff you currently grind for, should everyone else get that stuff easier, because while you get them, they don't?
The opportunities and mechanics exist to manage this. There's probably room for improvement, as there always are adjustments being made to the game economy, but those things tend to be relatively small tweaks. They don't just suddenly make a bottleneck go away. Nor should they.
But with all ingame time doing various content, i cannot gather enough ISO..
Games are about choices. It sounds like you aren't stuck with no opportunities to address your shortage, you're simply choosing not to use them because you want to do other things. That's your choice, but it is that: a choice. You're not supposed to get everything you want doing whatever you want. You're supposed to choose what you spend your time and resources on, based on what you want the most. If you want to complete content and ISO is not a priority, choose to spend your time and energy in that way. But then the problem is not the game lacks ISO, it is that you're choosing not to get it.
I usually find your posts intelligent and on point but I do have to disagree with this one. I believe iso is definitely an issue. The availability and I would say almost exclusive use of 6* at from most people thronebreaker and above and the fact that iso from dupes hasn’t changed from the 4* meta even though the iso required has increased significantly.
*Something* is always an issue. It wasn't all that long ago it was gold. And of course, when that bottleneck eases, another one appears. Because *something* always has to be the short straw. And literally every single resource has, at one time or another, been flagged as "an issue." It was gold (actually, it was gold more than once). It was T2A, it was T4B, it was T4CC. It was once T1 Alpha cats. And at one time, it was not having enough champs worth ranking.
They could give the players infinite ISO, and the complaint would just move somewhere else. Maybe back to gold, more likely higher tier catalysts.
The fact is, if the game had a literal shortage of ISO, then everyone would see it. Even setting aside whales buying tons of Cavs, everyone doesn't see it. I don't buy tons of Cavs and I don't see it. I *do* see that my ISO is now harder to manage than it once was. But I'm also seeing my gold supply go downward for the first time in years. What that tells me is that I'm doing far more rank ups than before, due to a higher availability of catalysts than ever before, and that's burning up my ISO supply faster than before. That's not an ISO shortage. That's a catalyst surplus.
Also, here's another thing about the "ISO meta." Everyone talks about how 6* champs require more ISO to rank up, but 6* duplication generates the same ISO as 5* and 4* champs. No one talks about how when we were in the "4* meta" the ISO came from 3* and 4* duplication. But when we were ranking 5* champs, the ISO came from 3* and 4* and 5* dups. And now that we are ranking 6* champs, we have 3* dups and 4* dups and 5* dups and 6* dups to supply that ISO. The ISO we're getting keeps getting higher as well.
On top of that, we have more opportunities to *target* ISO, if you're smart. You can save up Nexus crystals to target ISO for when you need specific class ISO, and you can buy dual class crystals which have three times the chance to generate specific classes you need. And class-appropriate ISO is essentially worth 50% more, which is tantamount to saying that the current "meta" of having opportunities to target ISO is essentially allowing players to earn at least 50% more ISO if they use it properly.
None of this is factored into the "but 6* champs still generate the same amount of ISO" argument. I haven't changed the way I approach the game in terms of spending since the early days. If anything, I buy fewer champion crystals than I used to (I used to buy more Cavs using units from the arena). And yet, my ISO has kept pace with my rank ups. I do more rank ups now than before, of (of course) higher rarity champs. If I'm not buying Cavs, and the meta has gotten that much worse for ISO, how have I kept pace?
I'm not saying everyone can or should play like me. I'm asking if the meta has made it substantially harder to earn ISO relative to the costs of ranking up, how would *anyone* be able to keep up? I can't create ISO from nothing. I'm not buying Cavs. So the ISO I'm getting must be rising over time as my rank ups get more expensive over time. How?
Champion duplication is how. I get more shards, I get more crystals, and I can funnel more ISO into those rank ups than I could before, because I have essentially four rarities of champions earning ISO through duplication. I used to have three, and before that I used to have two. It is not magic, it is resource management.

Dupe Useless champs, amass ISO, sell ISO before it expires....
I also remember using CATs as if they were ISO....

I wonder what they will cancel to fix the iso issue..
