Spectate War Defense

Hey so I was just spectating the defense for the war I was about to enter to pick my attackers as per usual. I picked my team and entered war. Upon entering war the defenders were completely different champs. This is the first time I have had this happen. Is this new? Anyone experience it?

    Or could also be you were spectating YOUR OWN Defenders map, instead of your Attack map.
    Did you recognize the players names on all those defensive nodes you were spectating ? If so, they were probably your own Ally's players defenders.

    U can't spectate your own.. unless u go inside and change to see the defense map... Would be hilarious if that happened though 😂

    You can spectate your own bg prior to placing.

    lol. I know the difference. This happened during my next couple wars as well. I have to enter, back out, and spectate again and I see the true defense.

    Happened to me a couple of times. The game takes you by default to BG 1 sometimes and if you arent in that BG, you may spectate the wrong map.
