They're not likely going to comment on the specific process. They've already indicated that it's always changing, and that changes are coming in the future.
They also stated that they've done thousands upon thousands of bans in BG to include numerous at end of season, however, videos and spreadsheets have debunked this so it's best to not blindly believe everything they tell you.
Okay, so conspiracy it is then?
Not going to say conspiracy at all, but will say lack of transparency/inability to properly handle severe issues plaguing BG.
Spreadsheets and Leaderboards are not evidence of any actions they take. People want a public hanging. It's not going to happen.
If you’ve been following, his point isn’t really the stuff of conspiracy. Players made screen shots of the BG leaderboard and their respective rankings just before the BG season ended.
A few days later they received their official rankings. And found there was zero change from just before the season end and the final rankings. That’s not conjecture, as far as I can tell—that’s actual data that indicates no changes to the top several thousand rankings once the season ended.
You can make of that what you will. But it’s way more than suggestive of little to no disciplinary action post BG season 5.
Dr. Zola
That's conjecture. All we know is they didn't readjust the Rewards and the Leaderboard after. If people are under the impression they're lying about taking action, I have a car I could sell them.
What kind of car? Does it get good mileage? Gas is kind of expensive these days.
Another month of ignorance and another season of silence in the make by kabam.
They seem to least care about the issues we face and in the end if majority of the players revolt, they will come up with compensation, but genuinely not solve the issue
10 fights in and I am ready to put BG's to rest, cannot go through this for another season, last season I ended in G3 where previous seasons I had no problem reaching GC

Might see if i can get my 9k prestige TB alt that I hardly use into GC though, it went 17/1 in a couple of days just messing around last season, may as well take advantage of this messed up situation but I won't rank anyone up.
Is matchmaking still some variation of prestige based?
I think so. My first match was close in prestige (15,6k vs 16,3k) but he had almost double my total rating (2.4mil vs 4,2 mil). So it seems closer to prestige than hero rating.
I’m so tired of this ****. Match after match of “legends” who finish the fight in 10 seconds and Kabam still hasn’t banned them
So far the seven Legends I’ve faced this season have all been legitimate large accounts—no carry-me or modded titles as far as I can tell.
That’s about half my matches, and the other half are about 50-50 >16K/<16K. The one defining featured thus far is whoever gets the better draft tends to have the upper hand. In a zero sum game, that means luck probably plays nearly as much a role as actual skill or champ/roster knowledge.
I will add that there are some roster adjustments that ought to help—having just one main counter for a new champ has left me exposed, so I will address that aspect, which should bump my win % up from where it currently is. Not surprisingly, it bounces right around break even (currently exactly 50% after recent loss that kept me in Bronze 1).
Kabam should just take DNA300's advice and BGs will be so much better.
I remember he talked about some of those in September last year. Six months later nothing seems to be happening, or it does move but at the tectonic plates' speed.
Nothing more fun than "randomly" being matched vs a 17K+ account every time you need 1 token to jump a tier. Really fun and interactive game mode here Kabam!

I notice that once I win two in a roll I get match against a stacked team who always seem to have all the new champs at rank 4. When I start losing, the match up are more even and my chance of winning increases. So it looks like they have a system tries to make life harder for you once you start winning. Maybe it's just me but that's been the case for me for awhile now. I'm always checking to see if this is the case and it's becoming obvious that is the case so far.

At least we know that their "harder matches when having to raise a level to get people to spend units on Sheilds" algorithm is working.

It got me a few times but now I won't do it out of spite.

I only use them to get into the GC. Lower levels it's just a waste.

I’ve faced some legit legends too and I always have this moment of panic in case they might be modders lol.
The ones that were modders were super obvious though. One guy took a rank 4 Galan with a 5/50 voodoo in 10 seconds. Another took QS in 14 seconds with an aegon
Just made it to Silver, encountered one Legend that seemed to be evenly matched with my account. Remainder of fights were mix of my level or lower. Had several losses but none of them were suspicious.
I wonder if it is only a certain matchmaking level that is encountering more modders.
After spending 8 matches in an endless 1 win 1 loss loop to finally get 2 wins in a row to advance the rank, I really have to ask why the victory track system is so heavily based on chaining wins? It makes sense in the gladiator circuit where every win loss reflects your rank.
While in the victory track, when you are at 0 medals, you can lose as many matches as you want but if your next 3 are victories you advance; but if you find yourself in an endless win loss loop, you're getting nowhere. There needs be more ways to facilitate advancement in the victory track other than buying shields..

I had one that still leaves me wondering. R4 KP smacked my R3 Abs Man in 25 seconds without losing any health. Seemed a little quick, but I could be wrong.

Already annoyed with it.
