I would first like someone to explain how is Hercules related to the issue of revive farming Do some people actually think we won't need to farm revives if Hercules gets nerfed?
Hercules benefits from a Revive-spam strategy arguably more than any other champion. Unless something stops it when he dies the Immortality Buff kicks in. As long as he keeps attacking the buff is paused, and he's Unblockable too.
With that being the case, why would you want to use a revive on anyone else? And that's a problem.
Herc is probably the most suitable champion to revive spam - agreed But u still didn't explain how will his nerf solve this problem........Won't we need to spam even more revives with other champs as they aren't as revive spam friendly as Herc ??? Or are u one of those smart people who believe Kabam will somehow stop designing revive spam content if Herc is out of the picture Last I checked such content has ALWAYS existed in the game & will continue to exist irrespective of any variables

Herc doesn’t stop revive farming, but he makes it easier to use less revives and to help plow through content with almost half the revives jr my normally take
Ok so the clear consensus seems to be that Hercules reduces the revive usage Which means if he gets nerfed, the average revive usage will go up..... doesn't that mean it will lead to more revive spamming instead of reducing it ??
How will that solve the problem is what I'm asking

As I said in my later post, it won't by itself, at all. It's a complex issue with multiple elements.
It's perfectly within Kabam's purview to make changes. To me, the problem is that this change does one thing but not deal with the rest. Just changing revive availability actually makes champions like Hercules more of a revive target by implication because it's wasteful to spend them elsewhere. Without changes to content difficulty or nodes champion selection will always favour revive friendly champions.
It's not one problem, to me at least. It's several and for the sake of the meta they all need addressing, and simultaneously.

So from what I have gathered (and I’ll be honest, I’m not DNA so some of this may be wrong) but the issue is the amount of revives being spammed at what people call now “Everest” content. This is why in the dev post they said it made this content trivial is because people were just spamming the revives to do it quickly. So this means content that should have taken a good while to be cleared by people, was being cleared within the first week if not the first day.
Now, herc comes in and he helps both speed up the process of that while utilizing the revive farming. Now herc is not the only one or factor I’ve been told, but he is the best example of this and imo, the biggest. He can put up good numbers and then go invincible for a good time and continue to do good dmg. He also helps people use less revives, but still benefits from having a full stash if not extra.
Because of that combo, he CAN (emphasized to show he isn’t the only solution or option) make this difficult content easier and be conquered quicker. This then leads to kabam seeing numbers of revives used and the speed at which this content was taken down, and then you get more difficult or boring content in the future that is just long and has nodes that are only there to punish or slow you down. This would then require more revive farming and spamming and potentially the next broken champ to save the day.
Assumably, this is why we have seen content lately that requires revive spamming is because the previous content before it was just quickly cleared which, once again something I’ve been told, makes the devs see it as not being as challenging and then upping it next.
Now, nerfing herc won’t solve anything. At least not anymore. It could have if done early on, but I’m also told this would have prolonged the inevitable. Herc has helped to utilize the farming of revives and as helped trivialize some of the harder content recently released. There are other champs that can be utilized with this I guess but herc is the best example of it. Even if Kabam did a direct nerf to him, at this point it would prob be too late and it would cause a bigger outcry than the solution they have , as rushed and risky solution as it is if you can call it a solution.

There hasn't been a bigger everest than the Abyss People explored (not 1 path but 100% exploration) the Abyss withing a couple days of its release by spamming 1000s of units More than 100 people explored it within the first week
Aegon was the primary champion that carried people through the Abyss.....those who didn't have Aegon didn't attempt Abyss for a very long time Some people even did it with a 4* Aegon instead of using their big 6* champs So can we say that Aegon trivialised the Abyss or was he just the best suited option for it ??
EOP fights are designed in a way that makes Herc the best suitable option for taking those fights at a relatively smaller cost than other champions would do it in....even Kabam knew it & that's why we got those champion switch nodes after 1st 4 fights
The problem is not Herc, it's the content design that makes people go for Herc over other champs It's not like people used Herc bcoz he does it fast, they did it bcoz he saves their items
That long, boring, tedious content that u talk about.....we already have that in form of Labyrinth & Abyss, & another one is coming in a few months That kind of content will keep coming even if we don't have Herc in the game
And it's a complete false statement that only recently we've seen content that forces revive spamming ROL, Labyrinth, Abyss, Act 6, Carina Vol. 1 & 2.....all of this came before Herc & every single one of these is based on revive spamming

Having Herc so overpowered means Kebam has to keep coming up with harder and harder contents. Raising the bar for the game as a whole meaning you’ll always need more and more revives.

We have always needed more & more revives.....long before Herc even won that poll We always have, always will

Yeah but with Herc the bar is higher than before. Cos Kebam knows they have to counter Herc.

Not really The bar is actually lower Compare EOP to what used to be "hard endgame" content before & u would realise that it's actually tuned down compared to that And the reason they had to tune it down is bcoz most people refused to touch that content

If kabam didn't want us to use herc they could simply do 2 things. 1. Just have herc banned from use in thr gamemode. 2. Just slap a node that reduces the duration of immortality by 90%.
Herc isn't the reason why revive farming is being nerfed.
