The special announcement will be a special 1 to 3 day arena that will award Gladiator Hulk. Something like top 50 get 5*, top 800 get 4* and top 1600 get 3*.
Just like they did for IIF and Deadpool release.
It will make them a ton of money from non-stop refreshes of 5* R4 team.
Thinking with extended maintenance we will see the a message about 5.4 launch. They might need to update some software in order for it to work as intended.

Hey folks, just to clearly set some expectations here, the announcement on Monday will be pertaining to the Goldblum Challenge! There will still be maintenance on Tuesday evening, and the announcement will also not be bases.
They will announce the winner of the legends run for the Goldblum challenge, and he/she will pick an extra special 2 star champion crystal for everyone to receive. LOL exploration here I come!
I assume we’re less than an hour out from the announcement, but better late than never to speculate! The official Marvel Champions twitter account had responded to someone a few days ago wondering if it was going to be the legends winners announcement, stating it won’t be that, as they always take a couple weeks to finalize. Those will be announced the week of 12/7 according to that official response. So my guess is some extra reward or quest for anyone with The Goldblum title

Gotta be something additional, maybe another one with different champs, addition of Hela and Ragnarok maybe?
Maybe the same style quest coming back in Dec but a Modok one.
