Loving the focus on increasing “fair play” in the Battle Realm

It’s great seeing the recent focus on making cheaters pay. The removal of 7star shards and the warning of negative units is such a great step forward as it signifies that cheaters won’t get to simply keep their pirated plunder. Also loving this recent announcement:

I do have one question though, when it comes to lowly “pausing is a legitimate” strategy dirtbags, are there any updates?

    Saying kabam allows it is disingenuous. They are trying to change it. They've said it's not something you should do

    Just saying it's not something you should do isn't enough
    They should give it the que/reject treatment and make a post or something IF they're serious about 🤷‍♂️

    The cue reject clearly says that there will be repurcussions for repeated offense. Pausing can never be confirmed to be whether a genuine issue or a "strategy" so they can't give out punishments for pausing . They are exploring options to change it.

    I stand by my words. I find it suspect that one would take such issue with a tactic they weren’t using. Especially one that’s been flagged as a method of bypassing matches.

    I have little tolerance and civility for cheaters, sandbaggers, and those looking to circumvent a fighting game by not fighting and using the pause to save points they don’t deserve

    I think pausing is pretty justified in a game where inputs are constantly dropped and the ai likes to be very uncharacteristic at random times like not throwing specials or throwing random heavy attacks just holding block not to mention bugs like the defender getting random lunge on some attacks or sp's and relics wiffing or the defender recovering from something more quickly than they shouldve if its not the players fault then why should they have to suffer.

    So your opponent who’s managing all the same BS should accept this undermining of a match? Sounds like a 2 wrongs makes the person pausing a bigger dirtbag excuse to me.

    Better idea go start a game called clock watch. You can randomly match another person who will also watch a timer for 2 minutes while doing nothing useful.

    Kabam isnt increasing fair play by banning cheaters, they're just returning all the advantages to whales and paragons. Honestly the biggest issue in bgs is the matchmaking system, not cheaters.
    Cheaters hurt all accounts. I hate making unfounded accusations but this sounds like the kinda logic one would use after a ban for cheating.

    agreed. he is just looking for justification at this point. All cheaters are dirtbags and deserve the ban hammer. and have no place in this game.
