Battleground matchups are HORRIBLE!!!

Seriously this season in battlegrounds matchups are so horrible, after reaching platinum 2 i played like 10 matches and didn't win any match. I'm stuck at platinum 2 ,can't enjoy battleground anymore because I'm Just a cavalier with only 4 maxed out 5 star champs and I'm getting paragon & thronebreakers. Just playing for objectives. I'll keep choosing my 1 star and lowest level champs for defender and attacker in battleground because there's no point in wasting my time in flights which i can't win. Thank you kabam for making battleground even more BETTER this season 💀🗿

Well honestly, that’s why you’re struggling.

You’re in the same pool as the rest of the player base, all competing for the same rewards. Kabam have said that matchmaking is going to start taking prestige into account less so that players don’t get stuck as a result of having a developed roster but not a massive roster.

For the amount of work you’ve put in, the amount of account development you’ve made, P2 is a decent amount of rewards.

You’ve been fighting accounts who have on rosters primarily built around 4 & 5*, having only just had to start facing accounts whose decks are 6*. Those accounts you’re now facing have had to play against decks filled with 6R3/4/5 to get to platinum. There’s plenty of accounts the size of the ones you’re now facing struggling to get out of silver because they’re facing these accounts, while you were able
To sneak through playing fellow minnows.

You literally don't deserve it. I'm in bronze 2 and you couldn't beat my deck if it was on auto fight.

I'm in a loop of just over 55% win rate and getting nowhere due to win/lose, as a paragon, with 15 r4s, 2 7* and pretty much any choice of r3s.

Accounts like mine (there are loads, it's all I fight, even in bronze!!!!) are stuck here due to the daft ladder design.

It's not fun

So enjoy your rewards... (Not at all bitter...)

Because Kabam's artificial matchmaking propelled you into a tier you don't deserve. There are thousands of Paragons stuck in Bronze-Gold because of the matchmaking who should all be way ahead of you.

For where you are in the game, you’re getting excellent rewards right now. There are going to be changes to matchmaking which will realistically put a hard cap on your ability to progress much further than platinum soon until your roster develops. It probably just feels a bit disappointing at the moment but it’s like AW - we all start somewhere in bronze/silver

I’d take the loot you can get and develop your roster and skills and if you can progress an extra tier each season then you’re making good progress.

He should not be shamed for playing fair and square with champs he chose.

That just shows the game knowledge he has and how well he managed to secure the rewards that most end game players can not accumulate.

Harsh, but true my friend.

I've managed to make it (finally) out of Bronze and into Silver-3, Moose. But it's not been at all fun.

Note, if you will, that my highest-rated champion wouldn't make the top two rows of my opponent's deck.

@Moosetiptronic there is in my Alliance. He's got a stronger deck than mine, and he runs Recoil. He's cleared the Abyss, the Gauntlet and completed Carina's challenges by going through Eternity of Pain six times.

I explain this to try to help you understand how actually - far from limiting your progress - the current matching has allowed you to succeed in climbing far higher than your deck should have been able to.

But try and wrap your head around it; and try to understand that you've actually benefited hugely from the current design of this game mode, and you've gathered vast rewards whilst doing it.

Maybe it will help you feel less frustrated in Platinum if you consider how frustrated we are, way down below you in Bronze/Silver.

Honestly the changes to matchmaking have been the one redeeming feature for this season of battlegrounds. Once I got to platinum I then could occasionally face lower accounts if they were in the same tier and the progression wasn't as painful. Glad smaller accounts aren't getting to gladiator anymore while bigger accounts struggle.

Thank you all my friends.. you all convinced me that this season battleground matchmaking system wasn't really bad for lower ranking players. Now I'm thankful to Kabam 😁
