Galan being staggered and taking damage 8.2.5

Am I missing something bc I took galan in because he is suppose to be stagger immune and im immediately getting staggered and taking damage on the path.

    Nullify effects. Wouldn’t that prevent stagger from nullifying my buffs and me taking damage

    No, stagger and nullify are fundamentally 2 different things. A stagger has to be placed before a buff is placed to work and nullify has to be used while a buff is active.

    Even in the code, the way the game handles stagger is not the same way it handles nullify, thus a champion has to explicitly state they're immune to stagger (like thing) to be immune to it.
