My account

Enemy account
How in god's name a player is supposed to win against this? That account is 6x in comparison to mine, hell he even has ~6k more prestige and obviously his deck was bigger, thicker and juicer than mine !! What does your BG matchmaking takes to match me against these players? Literally playing handicapped and if things are this dire in platinum-1, i can't even imagine what's the case in upper leagues, seriously and please, tune this horrible matchmaking system, facing against 2x or hell even 3x at times is cool, but 6x my account size? Sandbaggers were not problem, your matchmaking was and is.

I never said my 1 million account desire to be in GC, I'm just asking what is up with this wonky matchmaking, but it's because of people like you that Kabam refuse to do anything.
no offense but it's just stupid thinking every match you will face against people that have the same TBHR like yourself
TBHR does not equal skill you could get lucky enough to beat that guy if you play well enough and have good defense it really depends
When I was in platinum 1 I was matched with someone who needed 1 win to advance to GC so your logic is probably way off the mark
A simple WLWLWLWLWL gives you 50% win rate but you'll be stuck in Bronze where someone with WWWLLLLLWWWLLLLLWWW has way less win rate but will progress just because they can align 3 W... dumb
Remove the "lose a victory point when you lose" and people will climb the ladder, some slowly, some faster and arrive in GC where the challenge is.
The more people in GC the better it is for everyone, just like for arena.
Players are frustrated by that game mode because of that feeling of being stuck.
Why do we have to wait for X seasons to see that change? Wait, I know: if you do that there is no need for victory shield. Ok, I get it. Pathetic.
Anything would be better than how it is now...
it seems like the game is looking for the hardest possible match every single time
You may have a smaller roster than that person but you're in the same tier so deserve to face the same competition. If you can't win, you can't win.
The VT exists precisely because not everyone belongs in GC, because GC is actually the BG tier where matching is done in a competitively proper way. Meaning: you get matched against each other by ELO, and nothing else. You fight the opponent in front of you, not an opponent the game goes looking for that you can beat.
*Most* players aren't likely going to want to participate in a game mode where they are going to be losing a lot, and in a straight up competition most players lose more than they win, because a few players win a ton. The VT was created specifically to accommodate those players.
Everyone who currently complains about "unfair matches" is, to be blunt, unfit to be in GC. We can just start everyone in GC and eliminate the VT entirely, but I don't think that will have the results you think they would. That wouldn't mean more players were in GC. That would probably be the death knell for the game mode, because no one would be playing it anymore.
I only played massive accounts until I hit P3 and then 70% were small Paragons or less. You’d think it would be the other way around, but what this means is you’ve got a huge swathe of accounts getting very easy rewards.
If a majority of the player base are Paragon, it seems logic that lower accounts face only Paragon accounts once they start moving up the ladder.
There's no easy solve, the best solution is to keep progressing and continue to develop your roster.
However, I suspect the higher you go, the more disproportionate the number of higher progression players. Higher progression players are more likely to push harder in the game mode than lower progression players, have stronger rosters, and are statistically more likely to be higher skilled players in general. So the percentage of TBs and Paragons should increase the higher you go, especially this season where roster strength appears to have a much lower effect on matches than in the previous season.
The only way to truly move up is to keep getting better skillwise, get better at drafting and improve your roster. I'm not saying this is 100% fair and perfect, far from it. There's a large part of the player base that refuses to understand how current matchmaking works and I've said countless times, it's not easy to solve and it's even more impossible to please everyone.
Right now, the only way out is through.
They are both fair, in that that is what those sports decided were fair. The NFL originally didn't have the pass interference rule, then they did. Was American football unfair before the rule change, or after?
Nothing is "perfectly fair" because there is no perfectly fair without context. A lot of people point to chess as being perfectly fair, because unlike most sports there's no way to spend money to gain a competitive advantage over the chess board. You can't buy better pieces, and a lot of people think you can get really good at chess completely for free just by playing games. But that's just if you decide to play against me. I'm probably 1300-1400 ELO on a very good day. At the competitive levels it takes a lot of time and money to get good. Classical chess tournaments are also in-person activities, so if you can't afford to travel all over the world to attend them, you're out of luck. Top tier chess is actually very expensive. Is that fair?
Just like there's no such thing as "perfectly random" there's no such thing as "perfectly fair." There's only fairness relative to what you are trying to accomplish. A lot of players think the game owes them the same chance at placing high and earning top rewards as everyone else. In a competition, it does not. It is looking for the player who can beat all other players. And the player who can beat everyone except him. And the player who can beat everyone except them.
And it is not looking for the player who could beat everyone else if they were gifted the same roster.
