Forum Discussion Approval

Recently, I created and attempted to post a discussion about Battlegrounds, and its impact on the game. However, it was flagged down for further review, and would be added after it was reviewed by moderators. It has been two days, and the discussion still hasn't been posted onto the Forum. I don't believe it contained any inappropriate subjects, or was irrelevant in any way. Is there any other reasons it has been flagged down and still hasn't appeared? Any information will be helpful.

    From time to time, the Forum can default to Approval. It is possible that was the case. You could try reposting it, and perhaps changing the words slightly.

    It is a Canadian holiday so moderators haven't been on for awhile.

    @FrostGiantLord
    Did by any chance tried to edit your post?
    If any forum members reacted on your post while you were editing it, then the edited edition would need approval for being posted.
    Has happened to me a few times.
    You gotta be fast with your edits 😉

    It wasn't edited, and I have reposted it twice now.

    This happened to me earlier today with a post. A later post in the same thread did not need approval.

    Update: The discussion still hasn't been approved, but there was no notice given to me saying it has been disapproved. Does this happen to anyone else?

    It didn't get disapproved, I just got no response.

    Once or twice in the past. Sometimes after long intervals like holiday weekends, stuff piles up and then a few fall through the cracks.

    My recommendation is never try to repost something that is identical to a post that gets auto-filtered. The auto-filters will almost certainly do the exact same thing, but you could also trigger anti-spamming filters. Instead, if you believe the filter was overly aggressive and no mods get back to you, paraphrase the first paragraph before attempting to post again. Also, look for things that a computer might trip over but a human wouldn't - words or phrases that might be perfectly fine but a moderation filter might be programmed to look for. You know like how we used to be able to play a card from the suit that was bid in bridge, but now not so much. Sometimes there are things like that which trigger the auto-filter (but not that specifically, because that instead triggers the auto-censor).

    You can also send a PM to one of the mods asking them to look into it. I think they are supposed to tell you if they choose not to approve a post, but they might not have in this case. They might be able to tell you what happened. Once the forums just ate one of my posts. It didn't go to the mods, it didn't get posted. It just vanished. It is possible the forums malfunctioned on your first attempt and failed to forward to a moderator, then threw the next two attempts into the spam bucket.

    I tried the strategies you posted about, still no response. Hopefully I get one soon. Thanks for the advice!
