Sync up BG and AW offseasons

(I originally posted this in the AW rewards bump post but it's really a separate topic so I thought I should make its own post.... Plus that's turning into people just arguing anyway)

With the delay in AW season rewards could we see a delay in the next AW season? This would provide more time to swap members in and out and recruit for any members who haven't informed us they are planning on leaving and then providing time to plan out our defense.

Additionally, it has become very difficult to plan swaps and avoid booting people before both AW and BG season rewards drop while still allowing time to get new recruits in and plan out defense. The best off-season we had was when BGs ended a week prior to AW, as the rewards typically drop the following Friday and then AW ends the next Wednesday and rewards drop. Pushing AW off a week would sync the seasons up again, and then giving BGs a 2 week off-season like AW has would take away a pain point for alliance leaders and officers by giving them time to actually plan instead of rushing to get everything done. After AW rewards drop players can leave/be removed, and there is a week to get new players in and situated (needs to be worked in with AQ) and everyone can be in by the next Wednesday when BGs starts up giving another week to plan out defenses, etc.

Please consider these two simple changes (pushing AW off one week and then starting up 2 week off-season for BGs after the upcoming season) to alleviate some of the stress and pain points for officers/leaders so the game can be fun and not a headache to plan things around.

This really is a problem. Recruiting during AW off season is extremely difficult when bgs is in season, especially if after week 1. I understand it may be difficult, but all it takes is for it to sync up one time. Of course that doesn’t account for delays in AW season. I would assume that with the current AW season rewards being delayed 1 week they will line up with the start of AW season 43 and bg season 9.

Hopefully there is no delay to the AW season.

I would rather have the divided start and deal with the pains that brings than have 2 weeks of off-season for BGs.

Are you a leader/officer of an alliance whose affected by this? I could see a lot of players having a similar opinion to yours but it is a decent pain point for officers/leaders

This would be a win for alliance leaders and recruiters. Overall player base maybe not so much with a few weeks off from the two most popular game modes instead of staggering them. But I think it should be considered.

I guess there's no way to just secure the rewards earned by a player so they can leave at the end of the season and still receive them? Even if they're blocked from contributing points to their new alli until they get them?

I kind of agree with this :/

Feel like that might be a lot more complicated for them to code.... Not sure
