BG store math - t6 selectors or not?

I was initially approaching the new BG store with a focus on t6b and t6cc. I had a small handful of champs I really wanted to r4.

After a moment of reflection, I realized some of my resources should probably start going toward t6cc. Looking at selectors versus crystals, there’s basically a 25% upcharge for the selectors.

I have two r5 now (one from EoP, one from catalysts from 8.2 and shooting stars). Basically, I’m facing the choice between selectors to get more r5 quickly and crystals to get one of each class cheaper/quicker in the long haul, right? Is the benefit from rushing 1-2 now worth delaying when you get 3-4-5-6? Story content is 100% complete, if it matters.

Are you basing this conversation on the new store coming next week or current store? Makes sense to go for r4 mats once the store updates.

I expect a flood of r4 mats in July 4 unit deals. I’ll buy some but there aren’t a ton of champs that I’m really itching to r4: CGR, Omega Sentinel, Colossus and I’m relatively content.

I’d say if you’re close to the next R5 go selector, but if you’ve got a ways to go just sprinkle it around until you’ve got a clear focus in front of you. I’ll probably go selectors for a bit because I have 2 mutant catalysts and 1 or less of everything else, so pushing to finish off a mutant makes sense for me in the short term.

Considering that it will be a while for t6cc pricing to go down, determine if you want a specific resource, or have RNG Jesus take the wheel.

I think T6Ba and T3A are more valuable at this point.

If you have something in every class you want to R5, then crystals all the way over selectors. Use the savings to spend on R4 mats.

As a F2P, I personally always look towards the long game. I’m going with T6CC crystals maxed and maybe do an occasional selector if I’m close and it makes a difference of ranking someone up.
