How about a spreading out the downtime across other timezones for once

The PST has been getting the shaft everytime.

Try living in New Zealand. 5pm-7pm every week before daylight savings, 4-6 since. This time it's 4pm to midnight. If I couldn't log in at work, I would have literally missed the whole day for AQ.

Hawaii is an hour ahead of you. For me it is 5:15pm to whenever. Its probably slightly worse.

    I agree with OP.
I already suggested to change the time more than a year ago but they don’t seems to care.
It leave me one hour of playing from the moment I get back from work until maintenance and I lose a lot of events (milestone in arena, solo event, valors etc..)

I addressed this issue last month. Luckily I didn't hold my breath for a decent answer. Or answer at all.

The GMT and EST seems to get the most favorable times. @_ASDF_ go away troll.

I finish work at 1:30pm, unfortunately I have a job that doesn't allow private phone usage in certain areas due to reasons.

Maintenance started at 2pm. I'll be asleep when it ends.

    Dang.

Sure. And then it’s convenient for the other two billion people on the planet that aren’t @Vulkan7. Everyone works. With the consistency they’ve had for scheduling it plan accordingly. I’m on PST time too, doesn’t impact life or AQ or my arena grind... cause I planned ahead like a big boy.

@_ASDF_ go back to your high horse with your big boy pants. Adults are talking

It's usually around 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. their time. No doubt this affects different Time Zones differently. It's not reasonable for them to shift it based on Time Zones.

Maybe unreasonable for Kabam but the majority of apps games I've played had rotating maintenance schedules.

The game spans across all Time Zones. They can't coordinate their work schedules to synchronize with all Time Zones.

    3am-11am for me.
I'll miss around 3.5 hours while I'm at work.
AQ was half done before I went to sleep.
I think maintenance has less impact on my time zone (UK)
Usual weekly maintenance I don't even see, it's done while I'm asleep.

Big island Kona side. Man I wish I still lived there. Land locked for the foreseeable future. There are worse places than Hawaii to be from 5p-1am lol.

Sounds like you know alot about IT. Maybe you can tell Summoners War they shouldn't rotate thier maintenance schedules with their world wide players base.

Working in SD, we perform our code releases when we anticipate traffic to be light, while also not disrupting the developers day too much.

This results in releases between 5-9pm our time. Same with kabam. They do it for what is convenient for their staff, as they should.

The whole idea behind “maintenance” or code releases is to enhance the game. While it may not seem like that is the case with every release, it is surely kabams intent.

Thanks @Omni for the insight. Just a business suggestion, maybe Kabam and your group could improve feedback from customers if they were more customer focus instead of employee schedule focused if you havent tried yet.

Personally, as an EST citizen, I appreciate the night time maintenance, but I see no reason for it to be ALWAYS at the same time. I would be pissed off if I couldn't play for 2-8 hours every Wednesday myself, so I feel for the impacted people here.

True. Haven't been to Kona in a while, most of my relatives are on the other side of the island. Its always two thousand degrees in Kona when I go.
