    Isn't all the game modes in a game a chore in the end, monthly quest, side quest, BG, and AW. There's nothing to a summoner can do one fight and get all the rewards. It's up to the summoner to chose what chore is worth their time. That's the great thing about this game, you have the option of which game mode you want to play or don't play. There's so many options to chose from. They even have arenas for crazy grinders like me to spend my time, but I chose to do it for the rewards. It might not be for everybody but I don't expect everyone to like pineapple on there pizza either. Choices are good to have.
    Sorry games are supposed to be fun and at least the other modes offer variety
    Is basketball fun? Is dribbling fun? Running back and forth over and over again in a rectangle? Chasing after a ball in the hot sun?

    "Games are supposed to be fun" is a thing people say that doesn't actually mean anything. Chess is a game. Is it fun for everyone? It isn't even always fun for the people who love it. It can be entertaining, it can be engaging, and there are times it can be fun. But Chess is not intrinsically fun, any more than any other game, sport, or activity is intrinsically fun. People decide to have fun playing it. There's no "fun" anywhere within the rules of football, blackjack, cribbage, or scrabble. Don't even get me started on Risk and Monopoly.
    Fair to a point, but I did also clarify that variety makes things less tedious. Risk was one of my favorite games actually as it was anything but predictable. Give me either over the monotony of the same AQ over snd and over and over again.

    I’d also say those other things are FUN as the results are not predictable, each possession is a unique challenge, and not to beat a dead horse but there’s just not enough variation in defenders and nodes to give AQ the same feeling.

    The problem is risk. By definition, anything with risk and challenge is by definition something players can fail. A lot of players want more interesting, more challenging, more risky content, but the developers have to balance that against the much larger subset of players that do not want to constantly fail. They want challenge on their own terms, and alliance content is not challenge on their terms because it is set by the alliance and the needs of a larger group. Whenever Kabam has tried to spice up AQ they have always run into the huge problem of people complaining that they depend on the reliability of AQ to earn rewards and the fact that they have tuned the experience to be relatively inexpensive. Players go so far as to change alliances until they find one with a comfortable AQ experience, whatever that is. An AQ that is unpredictable, constantly changing, and inherently risky is something that would entertain a few, but anger the majority.

    The number of people who complain AQ is boring is nothing compared to the number of people who complained when they swapped the minions for drones. There are people who claim I underestimate the playerbase, but I don't need to estimate. When the drones were added AQ ranking stats dropped by hundreds of places in relative scoring. Meaning, if you somehow managed to score the same amount of points before and after the change, your AQ rank jumped upward by several hundred places.

    It was the combination of the huge amount of complaints supported by the performance data that said even small changes in difficulty in AQ can have huge negative consequences for the average player. Which is almost certainly something that is on the devs' mind when all of the more recent changes to AQ have been to streamline, simplify and reduce the complexity and difficulty of the mode. No more links, no more invisible nodes, no surprises. For every five people that say that's boring, there's five hundred that are breathing a sigh of relief. For them, AQ is not boring. It is boring enough.

    You can pick your poison in single player content, but in alliance content you are subservient to the needs of the alliance. And that makes difficulty a completely different thing in alliance content than in single player content.

    one time i was able to get a small set of houses going on some cheap land but my opponents had NOTHING and i wouldn't fall for their transparent trade offers, which would have gotten all of them started, AND i had JUST enough property on the board that my opponents couldn't even collude against me through free giveaways with each other! they just bled out! lol

    AQ sucks in the same way arena and BG's suck but if I want glory, battlechips or trophy tokens then I have to play.

    It's basically the same as money, I want to spend some and the way to get it is wake up at 0400 and go to work.

    When I don't need money, I won't get up.

    I don't hate AQ as much as some of y'all, but I do agree it's boring and tedious. and I'm not sure if the upcoming changes will help it in any way... if people don't wanna play it now, they won't want to play it when the schedule changes.

    Please dont delete but change into rewarding and engaging . Atleast rewarding ...if its very good, am pretty sure other components can be forgiven

    Yeah I kinda agree out of all the game modes in the game it’s definitely the worst and most tedious. Even more so than arena cause at least arena is your own time and not structured around others.

    Horrible analogy. If you enjoy ANY of those “games” you mentioned, then yes, it’s all fun. Give me a ball 🏀 and I’ll dribble in place for hours. You continually run back and forth to score or assist in scoring (most sports) which is fun. If you don’t like playing in the sun, play indoors with air conditioning. Using your intellect and strategizing is fun, whether playing chess or a game like Command & Conquer. It’s when these things become a chore that they are no longer fun. When you keep playing and beating the same people or things over and over again it can get boring. If you’re not good at something and continually lose, it can stop being fun. If something becomes impossibly harder than necessary (or even ridiculously easy) for what you determine to be an unrewarding result, it stops being fun. If your opponent keeps cheating to beat you (i.e. “Input Issues”, etc….😲) it can stop being fun to participate….and so on. At which point, that activity should be quit. Winning in general is the basis of fun and enjoyment when “playing” sports or games. Each person’s definition of fun is, obviously, their own with many differing factors contributing. Personally, Arenas and Wars are fun to me because of the changing opponents w differing masteries. On the other hand, continually grinding Arena mode for resources, for me, is not. Losing rewards or resources because of a game issue ( or issues ) is not fun for me either. Being grossly outmatched in War is not fun for me. Thankfully I have teammates that feel the same, so we won’t play that match and even waste the time or resources.

    Some people have fun debating, playing “Devil’s Advocate” or even trolling… 🫢🤷‍♂️

    I think everything here is fair if we consider that AQ be left alone in its current format, personally I’d rather that this format was retired and replaced with something that balances teamwork with risk, reward, and challenge variety.

    Also the AQ potion economy is the most atrociously out of balance ecosystem in the entire game which encourages players to desire boring over challenging. If it is to remain the same then this needs a serious look and revamp to go along with a rewards upgrade.

    And sorry for the disjointed thoughts but it’s worth point out that the other problem with AQ is the top of the leaderboard was ruined by arena botters who for YEARS botted to get the champs in the top 5 prestige, making it undesirable for other to seriously attempt that climb.

    But we should not be defending the current state of this mode in my opinion, accepting this as it currently stands seems ignorant at best IMO. There are more than a few things that could be done just to rebalance this mode to be more engaging than the dial tone it currently is.
