Battleground being difficult

Battlegrounds is being too hard because I’m trying to play and people are not matching my level, in fact they’re way above, I want to keep playing but it’s just way too hard. It could possibly be that I am vibranium with champs that aren’t strong enough and I would just need to wait for some people in my level to rank up to vibranium.

It is definitely that. Above a certain tier (around Platinum 3 or so) you have to match against who is there, and the lower your roster is the more likely it is that the match will land on someone with a stronger roster. The game cannot keep handing you matches that are only as strong as your roster is because that would be unfair to the players with higher rosters. It does so from Bronze to Gold to allow lower progress players to still participate and get rewards, but then it phases this protection out so that everyone has to face everyone else, and the strongest players ultimately get to the Gladiator Circuit.

So do I just wait it out for more players to get to my rank?

Or you could use free energy to practice against the big boys. You're going to have to face them eventually. What do you think happens when you complete Vibranium and enter GC? It is a complete free for all in GC: you match against players of the same rating, regardless of roster.

BG is intended to be a competition, and in a competition it isn't enough to just get better. Against the PvE content the stronger you get the easier the content gets. But in a competition everyone else is also trying to improve their roster and their skills. Because to your opponents, you're the content they are trying to get stronger to beat. If you don't practice, don't improve your skills, but everyone else does, then every season will get harder at the higher tiers, where you will be competing against the players that did get stronger.

Roster matters, but skill also matters. If roster was the only thing that mattered, you wouldn't be in Diamond/Vibranium now.
