    I am not debating that.

I'll let everyone else who reads these posts decide that for themselves

The person who is debating it, if the person who took 1 small example and thought they needed to lash out at me over it. The person debating is the person who called me an idiot and told me to keep my mouth shut.

All I was doing was illustrating how quickly you could log in and collect rewards. But you decided to be disrespectful about it.

In multiple posts you have encouraged unlawful, dangerous driving behavior, been condescending towards people pointing out these follies, and belittled defensive driving views and studies shared by numerous states and their law enforcement agencies.

It is in the community's best interest that someone try to stop that. I would gladly accept a ban from the forum if my attempts to get you to stop pushing false, misguided information, saved just one life

    That's still illegal

No it's it. If the car is not moving a quick glance at the phone is not illegal

Of course it is you foo"

So a quick glance at anything other than the road is illegal? Me looking in the back seat because my daughter dropped her drink is illegal?

No, but the phone sure as #### is. You'll note that darkestdestroyer only commented on looking at your phone, not on all distractions. I'm not sure how you reached the conclusion you did

What is the difference between grabbing a drink that takes about 30 seconds to grab and body contortions at a stop light vs looking down at a phone worse? It's the same. It's distracted driving. Just because one is more accepted because it doesn't involve a phone doesn't make it less distracting. And by your definition distracted driving is illegal.

Not once have I used "my" definition. I've referenced driving laws in multiple states. I'm also making no comments on accepted vs not accepted. I'm talking legal vs illegal, dangerous vs not dangerous.

For further questions regarding laws in your state, please review the literature handed out by your local dmv

No you referenced a case from 8 years ago, that was not finished. The guy was still fighting it for clarity on the law.

    Dangerous vs not dangerous
    What's more dangerous
Me stopped, clicking on the game and loading the game, then waiting till I am stopped to click collect. Or me twisting and turning contorting my body to pick up my daughters sippy cup hand it to her and then return to having both hands on the wheel. And if you say phone is more dangerous I really will laugh. With trying to pick up bottles/cups/snacks my foot has lifted off the break a few times causing me to go forward.

I have been rear ended 3 times since I have been driving. Each time no phone was the reason. It was other LEGAL actions that caused them to hit me.

I have witnessed a COP rear end a car sinlmy because he was looking at me and didn't see the car stop. I have seen people rear end someone while taking a drink from an coffee cup.

I am not condoning it. I simply was showing how quickly one could claim rewards. Was it a poor choice? Yes. But your blatant disrespect towards me was not warranted. But you felt like you had to mansplain to me how wrong I was. And you did do with anger and name calling. Did it feel good calling me an idiot?

And condescending? Showing the other side of an argument is condescending? Weird but that's ok I will let you have it because I don't feel like being called an idiot again.

No... but looking at your phone is, whether stationary or moving... its illegal to be on your phone... to glance at it, you need to touch it and open up what you want to glance at.

If you pull over then that's fine, but if your in a que it's still illegal to have a glance at it.

I am leaving this conversation because it's apparent that disagreeing with you @Kestrelle will lead to being told to shut my mouth or being called an idiot.

To prevent a future fight I will be blocking you.

Also @Liss_Bliss_ in the U.K. It is also not allowed to eat while driving too now.

I get your point, but it's illegal, that's all I'm saying.

Dang that's crazy. I can't imagine not taking a bite of food while out and about.

But don't you guys drive on the wrong side of the road? Craziness LOL (sarcasm and joke).

Edit: that's the issue with laws. Since it's not a federal law, and state by state, it's hard to know. In my state it's not illegal to text and drive. But the moment I cross state lines it is.

And on that note, back to the op. I've worked some crazy days/weeks. Days where I couldn't even take the time to have a working lunch.

I feel your pain, and have certainly lost out on shards/catalysts/units at times. That said, this is a case of just logging in. Whether it's while you're brushing your teeth, peeing, walking to your desk, etc, I hope you find a way in the future to avoid missing login rewards

Damn. That's one that the US really needs to adopt

The assumption made was OP played the game on phone. I don't and could face the same issue.

I wonder how many people play using a wifi only device at home.

At home makes it even easier to find time to log in.

Unless you're not there for most of the day and usually log in at a time covered by the extended maint. that isnt usually impacted greatly by the regular maint.

Example: 4 of my children who are allowed to play after homework/chores etc. In a 5hr window after school there were exactly no hours available.

Of course I could've logged in for them (apart from the minor inconvenience of the game coming back up after I went to bed) but doing that breaches TOS, account sharing.

I doubt anyone on PST gives a toss but there are people who were affected by the timing.

That's understandable. But then again it takes less to log in and click collect than it does for people to use the restroom.

I could see getting home from work maintenance going on. Waking up early for a double shift, maintenance still going on. Then getting home after rewards roll over.

That's why I like my job. It affords me to do some work from home and have my phone on me at all times. Even when I am on a set or doing a photoshoot I have do much down time where I can use my phone.

I really hope you never are driving near me. Look up the current statistics of distracted driving related collisions.

It has surpassed drunk driving in Canada and the USA

Read one of my other posts instead of picking pieces. I have my phone off and in my glove box while I am driving. Plus in my state is not illegal to talk on the phone nor is it illegal to text and drive.

Where I live, touching the phone at any time while operating a vehicle apart from making/taking a phone call (and that is only if the phone is in a cradle) will cost 3 odins at our price or around 360usd if you prefer real money.

Our states police are buying and using unmarked SUV's to sit up higher in traffic so they can look down into cars to check for phone use.

"...nor is it illegal to text and drive."

It is here in Canada up to $5000 fine + demerit points (top of my head). That's in Ontario though.

At least for UK, I agree with Kestrelle. Use of mobile phone like that is illegal here.

If you don't get caught, that's a different story but if you do get caught, then it is illegal.

It's still illegal if you don't get caught lol.

That's like saying murdering people isn't illegal as long as you don't get caught.

    How do you play?

On a Samsung Tab pro which needed a wifi. I should only be able while at home.

That is an assumption. But even on an iPad or tablet simply loading the game while doing anything and pressing 1 button is not a hard task. You can do this not even looking at the screen.

There have been many times I have been busy with shoots, while dressing undressing that I start a game load. Or between a scene I am shooting, while light adjustments are made, that I will collect rewards. Or while doing live streams for fans, I will move in AQ.

To say you don't have ~1 minute to collect rewards is ludicrous.

If I don't carry the tablet, how to play? Some Summoners can only play at home for a few short hours.

I'm closing this down for the fact it derailed into a topic about using your phone while driving. OP, I'm sorry you missed out on your reward for the day. Keep in mind the calendar runs 28-Days to give wiggle room for if you miss two days.
