Just curious if kabam has stopped making any new content? All we seem to get now is a story chapter once every 6 months and even that has been cut in half. I love bgs, but you have to make some new exciting challenges to face or this game is going to die.
What happpened to the abyss style content that was teased for this summer? Is that another trashed idea?
I just feel like the past two years have been a bit of a drought.
@Kabam Miike can you give us an update if anything is in the works?
Thanks.

But my goodness has it been dead of intriguing content for a while. I even get bored and do act 6 paths here and there. Abyss isn't even worth the effort with the rewards now. So... here I sit, I know may who have quit from boredom resulting from lack of content
A lot of us are desperate for content. Gauntlet 2, Abyss 2, Summer of Pain… I’ll take a boss rush. The lack of content is extremely disappointing. Honestly at this point, I’d wish they’d open it up to the ccp or community as a whole. I’m sure they could come up with a collection of champ/node combinations that could make for some fun content. Sure it still has to be created/coded, but that’s like writing a paper after someone gave you all the notes for it. 2023 is shot for consistent content, but hopefully all these cries aren’t falling on deaf ears and having something like quarterly new content (preferably bimonthly), becomes a 2024 (and beyond) priority. This way we can stop ranking up new champs just to see how fast they can beat WS lol.
That said, asking for "one path per day" to be released I don't think is unreasonable. It doesn't have to all be story content. It used to be backissues, Abyss/Labyrinth/Maze (wasn't that supposed to come back at some point for those of us who weren't ready for it yet like 4 years ago), and various other challenges like celerity challenges... and we used to average "about 1 a month". Now we are lucky to get "1 a quarter"... so many, many players have done either everything, or "everything worth doing".
I for example decided to "100% gauntlet" doing extra fractional paths... rather than just selling expiring items... and even "wasting items" like that... I went from about 200 paths of backlog 18 months ago to now just having the "starlord challenge" left. I have saved it for last waiting for relics to work, and maybe benefit from ascension but if there is no "EOP", 8.3, Abyss 2.0, etc. announced in August... I'll probably use my 4 hours crystals an overflow to "plow through it" as a "completion-ist"... it surely wouldn't be for the rewards at this point in the meta.
In addition to just "more"... we need content that actually requires the recent rank ups we've done. Act 6 was overkill on difficulty... but acts 7 and 8 can be done with r3 6 stars without thinking like you are outclassed. What's the point of r4s, r5s, and 7 stars if they aren't needed.
However, I would like it if we had a new EoP challenge where we have the 1 fight per week with different objectives. Those were fun.
They did away with revive farming and we haven't gotten engaging content since.
I do understand that it wouldn't encourage new content before, because they couldn't monetize it
I’m sure behind the scenes, some things have gone wrong that they didn’t anticipate as far as content. But say that… “hey guys, we’re working on abyss 2 but this, this, and this aren’t working right yet” … I’d rather know that than hear nothing and get a live stream like “hey guys, here’s a combo tracker” that you didn’t ask for. “No, there’s no new content and don’t worry about the dual mastery set up that’s 3 years late and we don’t even mention anymore” lol.
I feel it turning into a rant so I’ll stop here. Someone above mentioned weekly EOP fights. That was fun and something to look forward to each week. Would love that again.
AW- can be really fun when it's actually live and working as intended... but slightly too much work for the rewards.
General questing- boring, same old sq and eq format every month with mediocre rewards.
act 8- super fun content that has almost gotten too easy, problem is 6 month wait.
incursions- only use them for gold occasionally, waste of time and super outdated rewards, dreading the SQ with them.
Arena- No thanks. the definition of "boring."
So yeah... not much to do at the moment that has good rewards, isn't mind-numbing and is actually live.
Let alone every solo event and most stores need updates but that's a whole other topic.
Potion farming was really only necessary for content which was near impossible to do without doing it. Take for example the starlord challenge in Carina Vol 1. It is impossible to do without 50+ revives even for the best players in the game. Maybe ascension will cut that number down a bit to the point where the stash with the sigil would be sufficient... but point is... anyone thinking of doing it would "save up" as much as possible.
Compare that to content released in the last 4 months. I'm not saying I did 8.2 itemsless, but I certainly did it without requiring farming in any way. Some of the EOP vol. 3 challenges I "chose to farm" because farming was around rather than waiting to get the perfect counter to max rank... but that was back when R3s were still "reasonably rare" and r4ing a champion was a huge deal / not something you would do "just for one path"... and before that... you probably have to go back to Summer of pain... the 3 week challenge with the collector for the previous time farming was truly needed, and before that... probably act 6.
Maybe if content were to come out out the old pace... 3-4 times faster... I'd sing a different tune, but its very rare there is anything to use them on... and only really use them because "they are there" and the game glitched out... and rather than starting over... might as well use an expiring item.
Play smart, not hard
