I was not excited for this movie at all. But this actually was a really fun trailer.
I liked monica and kamala in their respective introductory series. Never like Captain marvel much.
But this trailer hints some personality to the character.
Very curious about it.

They had a test screening with group of ppl and those that attended the screening said it was really good was not what they expected. So yeah.. looking forward to it in Nov

Not a fan of the direction they took with Carol in the MCU, and I loved Ms. Marvel when comics first introduced her. She feels much more sullen than Carol should be.

Also loved Kamala’s characterization in the Disney+ show, but I never understood the decision to change her powers or bring up huge things like incursions in a show that should have been more “friendly neighborhood Kamala” than it was.

I hope it’s good. But I have concerns.

they changed her powers because the Inhumans aren't around in the MCU and she was supposed to be a mutant originally anyway.

i think the worst things about ms. marvel were both the fact the style from the first episode didn’t carry over through the whole show and the villains were not well written and just plain bad

I look forward to The Marvels. Looks fun, and that's all I expect out of a movie based on comic books. This ain't Shakespeare or Bronte. Not expecting an Oscar winning flick.

Could Captain Marvel or Ms. Marvel have been better? Sure, but I'd say that about every comic book movie outside of a handful (Logan, Winter Soldier, The Incredibles, the Spiderverse movies, Wandavision). But even the bad Marvel movies are as good as any DC flick released in the past decade.

Personally I didn't get that excited watching the trailer, but I'll still watch it I'm sure it'll be good. Also isn't Ms. Marvel somehow very important to the bigger picture or something? Not sure where I heard that but if true I'm guessing the post credit scenes will be pretty important and cool.

I think the biggest reason for changing her powers is how expensive it is to animate stretch powers and them never looking good anyways, but that's just my own speculation.

The Marvel movies are all better than the [excrement] that's passed for DC's output since TDKR. Only Wonder Woman has been a good DC movie.
