AW still broken?

I saw that matchmaking was up again so I enlisted 1 bg for my alliance and as soon as the timer runs out to start matchmaking we are at the start of war?? No one in my alliance can place a defense it goes right to attack phase instead of matchmaking, at this point I wouldn't mind seeing war just disappear

    You’re supposed to place prior to matchmaking beginning. It’s a 2 day attack phase now so you place defense in between wars.

    Also, you’ve had a while now (where wars were back enabled, just to place persistent defenses, even though matchmaking itself was still disabled) to see that defenses get placed in advance of actual wars.
    Also (prior to the actual whole war system being offline for a bit), the same persistent placement of defense was enabled for a while, and some wars actually took place, at the very beginning of what was originally to be the start of preseason a while ago.

    While it had it's issues, it was at least known that this preseason and upcoming actual season was gonna have this new style of war.
    * Pre-placement of defense, which will persist from war to war, so no more having to first place defense before every war.
    * Placement changes have to be done PRIOR to matchmaking. And then once matched the Attack (now 2 days) will begin right away.
