Chrome book runs ChromeOS which is a linux based OS not an android OS. Chromebook "supports" google play and android apps. so on one hand it would seem like YES it should be ok.
however this does not mean apps are directly supported. as it is a linux OS not an Android OS there would be some tweaks needed to make sure the app would work on chromebooks. especially for input. a non touch screen chrome book would require the app to be updated to work with mouse and keyboard which kabam would certainly not do. therefore at best limiting it to working on touchscreen chromebooks. as you would be breaching TOS to use any external program to allow the keyboard and mouse input.
there are also certain android features not supported on chrome book that may be required for MCOC.
firstly have you checked the google play store on a chromebook? MCOC may not be availaible for download due to being unsupported hardware. given the fact that MCOC will not work on x86 based devices and the majority of chromebooks would be x86 devices.
so i would say this. it is likely not available to be installed on chromebooks, and if it could, it would possibly not work properly anyway. kabam have likely blacklisted ChromeOS devices for the same reason they don't like emulators and that is ease of modding and using external tools and such.
That does make sense. I figured since I use editing software KINEMASTER on IOS and since itβs available in both Android, IOS and chromebook then it occurred to me βwhat about Mcoc? Would it be ok since itβs in the Google play store?β
A quick google search shows a post in the Reddit thread two years ago says that itβs available for download if the chromebook is 2019 or older.
I have plans to purchase a chromebook for an easy workflow with KINEMASTER.
Those Chromebook that actually had official GooglePlay available, and which offered MCOC on their GooglePlay (I assume just the touchscreen ones), were generally able to run the game without breaking ToS. So long as nothing else was changed/modded,
However, as mentioned, any of them that were running x86 (32-bit) processors became unsupported as of July 2020 when that version of MCOC started to require 64-bit processor.
If there are 64-bit ones, with official GooglePlay, whose GooglePlay contains official MCOC to download, without using 3rd party apps/controllers or being modded, then generally has been allowed in the past, and probably would still be allowed.

isnt Andriod also Linux based OS and doesnt Chrome OS also come in 64 bit variant along with touch screens

it is about the hardware being x86 v 64 and yes chromebooks do come in both. as i said THE MAJORITY of chromebooks would be x86 not ALL chromebooks would be x86. and yes i did specifically state A NON TOUCH SCREEN chromebook would require mouse and keyboard support. and even explicetly stated that this would therefore limit it only to the touchscreen ones so yes if you have a 64bit chrome book with touchscreen then yes it may be available on the google play store, but it may also be blocked due to unsupported OS. which i did state this in my original post.
and yes Android is Linux based however it is not ChromeOS. android is based on a modified version of the linux kernel not a straight up linux system my point was that ChromeOS is not based on Android.
there are many Linux OS's. linux forks in many ways. Ubuntu, Debian, Android, ChromeOS, SteamOS, all of these can also fork and spawn many many other variations. but there is not inherently any compatibility between the likes of ubuntu and android or steamOS etc etc....

This is crazy that this even is compatible. The screen is able to turn into a touch screen. This is Chromebook ASUS 2023 in Sweden.
