Throw this quest in the trash!!

I've just completed the brutal DLX challenge and I have some thoughts.
Listen, I'm not the only one who was incredibly excited to hear about the brutal DLX challenge and the legends event. the crystals, milestones and rewards are all very good however the quest is horrible.
I believe it's the most boring, frustrating, weakly designed piece of content released to date. Doing it makes me wish I was in arena. Before people say, it's easy for the rewards. Yes, it is. However I would rather have had one gauntlet type quest to run, over 250 of the same fights over and over!
I also can't just avoid it because of the titan shards within. I really wonder who at kabam signed off on this because it was the biggest fail in a long time.

Don't know why somebody thought that was a good idea.
Second: there are far more reasons to disagree with your original post than just because the quest is "Grundy, boring and horribly thought". Here are just several of the points that you make (and my thoughts, since you literally asked).
"crystals, milestones and rewards are all very good" - True. That tends to be the hallmark of these types of challenges.
"quest is horrible." - Super generalized point, though you go farther into it later. But I disagree.
"I believe it's the most boring, frustrating, weakly designed piece of content released to date." - Maybe understandable, but not fact. It might have even been several of these things for you, but clearly not for everyone. As to it being boring, sure, there are a ton of the same fights, but beyond the final difficulty, you could have taken each path individually and spread them out. Choosing to cram them all together compounds that. It shouldn't be "frustrating" unless it is difficult, and you claim that it's "easy for the rewards". Choose one, or if it's frustrating because it is boring, then don't list them as separate things. As for "weakly designed", you literally offer nothing constructive other than reducing the fight number (which is hardly constructive). There already are a variety of shorter quests (literally including gauntlet), and the point of this one is to ramp up in difficulty as well as prepare you for the final *long* quest. It is designed specifically to test endurance, so having only very short quests beforehand would be a much weirder design. The fights also increase in difficulty and complexity as you go along, providing a proving ground for earlier summoners to test their skills, while still incorporating exit paths for them. It actually is not too difficult from gauntlet, except the fights are easier (since it is temporary content, although Gauntlet wasn't always). The final point, that I think most addresses your complaints is that Kabam likely doesn't have the time to make *even more* complicated and engaging content for a very limited time event. Coding, testing, checking for bugs, and all of the other things going into producing content like this take a lot of effort.
Final point: You claim that this is their "biggest fail in a long time"..... have you been playing the game for very long? Did you not just say that the difficulty was low for such great rewards? Have there not been other quests that are uninteresting but also fail at these points? Do you remember the old 6* arenas for this event that needed like a billion (to use your level of hyperbole, actually was like ~213 or something) 1*/2* fights just to get some units and a 6* crystal?
Overall, I disagree because you inflated your opinion past reasonableness and it is actually on the opposite side of the spectrum from mine. I'll hook myself up to a lie detector and state that this quest was not grundy (I assume grindy, which it could be if you make yourself grind it, but didn't require it to be so), was not boring for me because it was on the ROL theme with some really fun node interactions that discouraged just Herc-ing it all down, and was actually better thought out than I expected from such a quest.
