When the relic is attacking..

You are either far from the opponent or near. When using a relic with Odin, his buffs would wear off(which means he's far away from the opponent). And when using a relic against Omega Red, Death Spores count up(which means you are near the opponent). Not a big deal. Just a small issue. But it needs to get fixed.

It’s working as intended in Omega’s case. Using the striker creates distance between Omega and the defender, which means your spores fall off. The solution is to heavy to lock in your spores, and THEN use the striker

The problem is, it's always beneficial to the opponent, whether we are treated as close or far. We however, always receive the negative.

In OP's scenario, reverse the roles... we're facing Omega Red and activate a striker. We still gain spores. Launching a striker against Mephisto, we still take incinerate damage. Launching a striker against Aarkus, etc...

I've made a thread on this: here.
