Kabam sold me on Battlegrounds last season. This season undid that completely.

Not a fan of vibranium having three tiers. Sure seems like it’s just there to make you want to buy victory shields. 15 wins is a lot. Kabam has been saying they want to make things less grindy and then do this.

Let me explain it, with seeding people who got to high Vibranium and GC will start at Plat1 next season. If those extra tiers weren't added, people who start at Plat1 would get into GC too quick, they don't want that. The reason behind this might be related to the argument @KTPrimal brings. Getting into GC too quick and brute forcing wins would give you more points and probably inflate the GC standings.

Some "people" are funny, I don't know how other people can say they had it easy when they had to go thru the same exact process.
They had the string the same ammount of wins, same ammount of tiers and all.
Some "people" can't see the difference between complaints on the structure change (which is the same for every player) and matchmaking complaints from lesser experienced players.

No player goes through the exact same process nor string the same amount of wins.
Talking about the game mode structure, not the game play.
Everyone has to go thru the same ammount of tiers, winning and losing rewards or takes away the same ammount of coins.
I'm talking about the same. It's not structured that way. Some sweep the tiers, some 50% them, and some even less. Currently BGs functions like arena where you can do infinite fights as long as you have the marks. Having a system where a set number of matches per season can be played could be a good change. Like every player can only do 100 matches every season for example. That would make it competitive and a competition. The points you get per win goes towards your overall rank. So let's say 2 players go undefeated, the one who scored the most points per round will rank higher.
That's not my argument though, I am argueing that some people blame it on a level of difficulty increase, when everyone has to play thru the same difficulty.
You are argueing the capability of brute forcing and is valid; but adding tiers and changing the coin system didn't make it harder for some and easier for others. Matter of fact when they changed the coin system in season 8 it was made easier for EVERYONE, and now the difficulty was slightly increased for everyone as well.
My stance is that both sides will argue about the same thing always because that's how BGs is set up. Bigger accounts argued about the same thing smaller progressing accounts are arguing about now in previous seasons. The new tiers and coins is a separate matter. And that change could lead back to bigger accounts arguing about what the smaller progressing accounts are currently expressing. My focus is on the mode itself and how it can be improved from a competitive view.

I repeat I am not argueing your focus. I do believe a lot of your points are valid and agree with some of them.
My point is that adding extra tiers, and changing the coin system did not add a level of difficulty, it made it more grindy but not difficult.

I'm a fairly sizeable spender in game as a Paragon player. I have plenty of 7* champions, maxed out 6* champions etc. I did all of the difficult content this month. Brutal DLX 100%. Legendary Incursions zone 25 done.

Last season I made it to Gladiator circuit with well over 400k points and enjoyed it. However, this season was an absolutely dreadful experience. I missed Battlegrounds when it went away last season. That was the first time I felt that way. Now I really don't care of it ever comes back. Matchmaking is a mess, The medal system change is way too grindy, and the rewards are not worth the effort. I love this game but when this mode is bad it really starts to change how I feel.

I really hope Kabam gets this mode right because at it's best its a fantastic mode. This season though?..... One of my worst in game experiences in 8 years.

Matchmaking is fine. You're being seeded for next season.

The medals changed from 2 seasons ago and are the same this season as last the only exception is there are more tiers this season.
Actually they're not. Now you have 10 Tiers of one Medal per Win, starting in Gold 1/Plat 3.

It was not just additional tiers. Medal requirements were changed even at Bronze and Silver levels, needing more medals to move up. And the medal/win changed in Plat. The move up to GC was long slog this season compared to last.

You can only drop 6 tiers, so having 10 tiers of 1 medal is not that big of a deal.

Agree with you, hope they can seriously make some changes, otherwise this mode will be too difficult to play.

It is best to not invest much into this game mode, it still has a long way to go.
