When did Hyperion’s awakened ability change?

His awakened ability used to say “…increased buff duration”, meaning all buffs. “Now it says only fury, precision, power gain, and healing get the increased buff duration.

That does not seems to be right explanation at all, if it is realy true, given the fact that for example for moleman they changed the mechanics to match the text, yet here they change the text to match the mechanics?

That seems fair for sure ;)

They updated the text to match what the ability does

The core has always been to fix what's broken to match what's intended. Hyperion had at the time those buffs and was supposed to increase their duration. But that didn't specify that. So they updated it.

Moleman is very obviously a function error since you only got to keep the true strike if you played a specific way and all others would lead to losing it.

I do not say fixing moleman was wrong, it obviously did something else that what was writen. But how did we know what was wrong? We believed the text is correct, so yes fixing mechanics is ok. as we believed.

But now, how do we know it is the text that is wrong and not the mechanic? Especialy here where there is nothing truly indicating the oposite. It would not even make the champ overpowered and it is not always helpful anyway.

So yes, they fixed the text to match what is happening in the game. It sure is easier thing to do, but I do not really believe that is necesarrily correct way. And it can be even harmful sometimes. Not here, but lets look Warlock. he used to have differnt wording, used "healblock" as desriptiom, and we have healblock imune (or whatever) champs. but not to warlock. so. they changed the wording. silently. cool, no big deal unless you run into it without noticing the change in the description.

So, this kind of changes, as small as they are, they should not be done silently, at least people using that champ should be informed about that somehow, and at least a basic explanation should be provided. Because how often do you check description off your champs for changes?
