It comes down to: here’s what we gave Doom’s kit, here’s his play style.

He already has so many great things about him. If every character had a completely comic-accurate kit, half of them would be broken beyond all compare and the matches would not be fun.

Imagine if every psychic mutant was even MORE useless against Nimrod because you can’t mentally control a Sentinel haha.

He always feels like a dc character. If it ever happened he would conquer the guardians and make a whole planet out of it somehow.
