The new Summoned Symbiote event

I was trying to find info on this but couldn't. Will this be a new Summoned Symbiote, so everyone starts on the same page? Or if you have the one from last year, can you start with that one?

Should be building upon the one you may already have from previous years.
So can max him out now if you were unable to do so previously.
