BGs ending early?

Since I've been playing this game(5yrs), things have always ended @ 1pm est. Has there been a change I'm unaware of? Was hoping to try & hit a few more milestones. Kinda bummed, but s**t happens...

Maybe it doesn’t matter to most people but for this situation, the minutes were important. Jax’s response says: “ The timer on the battlegrounds game mode was marked to expire at 9am PT for the entirety of the season.”

We know that’s not 100% accurate based on all the screenshots. That should warrant at least a second look at how the timers work and when things are actually supposed to end.
