Ghost or Nimrod

I know, this is an old question and the playerbase seems to be split between the two… But I am sort of in a unique situation:

I have a R4 Ghost (sig 160) and a R3 Nimrod (sig 40). What I also have is a Generic 3->4 Gem and a Tech 4->5 Gem.

So my goal is to bring one of the two to R5, but I cannot decide…

- Should I use the generic 3->4 Gem AND the Tech 4->5 Gem and bring Nimrod to R5?

- Or should I just use the Tech 4->5 Gem on Ghost? Then I could use the generic 3->4 on CGR or Tigra (which are both at r3 currently)

As a bit of a background: I am a Paragon and am not becoming Valiant any time soon… (still I’d rather limit spending ressources on 6* in the future). My next goal will be completing 8.4 when it arrives. I have neither mastered the playstyles of Nimrod or Ghost…

So, what would you do?

Yes, sorry… there‘s no „other“ option, because I only have a tech 4>5 gem, so nimrod and ghost are the only options for rank 5..
