His mutant ability is his fat body which works are armour and gives superhuman strengths, it deflects attacks, he is known for his heavy hitting and a known fighter. He jumps and runs fine. He is not immovable if you read it somewhere.
Imagine blob getting some ability like hulk bahamat, where he can send back projectile beams launched from a large distance, like nimrods sp2 beam, He can deflect those beams and it's effects to the attacker. Would be cool lol.
