I'll save my judgement for after both events are over rather than at the start of the first one, but I'll say this:
I'm not a big fan of buying the unit offers on the assumption that those will be useful in the next event. That feels very "pig in a poke"-y. Obviously there's a value to this event since you get a lot of those Deadpool thingies, but you don't actually get anything for the next event except units. Without having everything in front of you, it's hard to really gauge how many units you should buy.
I don't have any plans to whale out regardless so it's not really a huge issue for me, but I dislike the idea in principle.

There is no assumption. They released the Omega event info before the DP event for a reason. Its basically the same as CM or 4th with a few days delay.
Yeah, but that's what I don't like about it. I don't like having to buy units beforehand to use at a later date. With apparently two tracks of rewards and one feeding into the other, and both tracks giving you a lot of extra units so that you can buy more crystals, and an event that gives you extra crystals that will also feed both reward tracks, it's all very difficult to keep track of while I'm simultaneously trying to keep track of the event that is actually happening right now.
When it comes to spending real money on the game, I want everything to be extremely simple and easy to understand. I appreciate that they did release the info early, but that doesn't really solve the problems of having to buy two currencies at once. They essentially double the amount of math you have to do to map out how you're going to approach these events. That's an inherently bad things when it comes to real money decisions.
