Kabam support

So I’ve been struggling to link a Kabam ID to my account, which is linked to my Game Center account. I tried creating a kabam id using the email tied to my Game Center account, but when I did, it made a new account. Naturally, I searched for other potential solutions or just a way to fix my unintentional new account and then link that email to my actual account. I looked through Reddit and these forums looking for answers to find nothing. Not at the fault of other players, they just tend to have the same questions and struggles. Someone in my ally suggested I reach out to the support team, which I never thought of for some reason. I finally did like 4 days ago. It was possibly the WORST support I could’ve gotten for my situation. They required account info, which makes sense, but the require things that I don’t have or remember.

1. They need purchase history, specifically your first 2 purchases. I am ftp, and throughout the chain of emails I tried explaining that, and it was like I was talking to a bot, but with a different name each time. They wouldn’t budge and kept saying I needed my first 2 purchases, which I don’t have.

2. They need your original account name. For the life of me, I can’t remember EVER changing my name. Even if I did, it has been the same for at least the past 6 years! That’s as far back as I can even remember playing, despite my account being almost 8 years old. The worst part about this requirement is that there is no reason to remember your first account name unless you know you will run into this issue. I’m assuming that my current name hasn’t been my name through my accounts lifespan, but why would anyone ever remember a name they actively wanted to change. It’s not like changing your birth name.

3. They need a Kabam ID. They need the thing I am trying to create and link to my existing account. Am I missing something? Imagine a cars salesman trying to sell you a car, but you need to give them the car you want but don’t have.

As stated somewhere above, it felt like I was talking to a series of bots with different names, regurgitating the same thing over and over again. I even asked for clarification on each of these things, but I get a reply with nothing more than the required information.

The websites article on this issue needs to be updated or just removed as well, because it provides 0 clarification, and shows images of what I can only assume is an outdated settings menu.

I posted this in what I can only assume is the wrong category after checking out some of the other post so I am posting it in what looks like, and in hindsight makes sense to be, the right category.

Does anyone know how to help me in my current predicament? Has anyone had a similar experience with kabam support? I’m at a loss with how mind bogglingly bad the support system is.

I don't know how you can't remember the original name. My account is almost 9 years old and I can remember the OG name. Sounds like the account already has a kabam ID if they are asking for it and has made some purchases.

They don’t need a Kabam ID. The question is phrased - Did you ever attach a Kabam ID to your account and if so, provide the associated email. Say no if you never did.

Similarly, if you have made no purchases, provide the amounts of $0.00 and $0.00.

Could it be the account did have a Kabam Id and it was subsequently linked to Google Play with a different email account?

I went through the process once before to make some changes, and all I said was "I have never made any in-app purchases for this game account" (it was for a f2p alt). However, I am aware of cases where players claim they said this to support but they actually sent rambling, confusing things like "I can't tell you what my two purchases were because I am a f2p player" which is completely non-responsive. Support is not going to try to figure out what you mean there.

Always answer the questions clearly and completely, but with no additional verbiage or editorializing.

I initially put N/A when I got to the Kabam ID section. They later said that wasn’t sufficient, so I said I didn’t have one linked. I don’t know how I would make that clearer to them. Also, when I asked for clarification for that part of the submission they did say I needed to submit a Kabam ID.

As for the purchases, I didn’t list my first two purchases as $0.00, but I submitted N/A there as well. Then later in the replies I said “I am free to play, and have made no purchases.” I feel like those responses mean the same as $0.00, but if I ever attempt to go through this process I will try that.

I could see how my later response to the question could be deemed non-responsive, so if I go through the process I’ll try to keep it a little shorter and more to the point.

Because to them, N/A could mean you don't have the information, not that there weren't any purchases. N/A is a vague response when they are looking for details.

It’s not a lack of remembering an “original name” it’s not knowing if I ever changed it. My Game Center account has the same name, and was made at the same time as my mcoc account.

Doesn’t N/A mean non-applicable? Maybe if I submitted that as a response to where I made the account, but when referring to purchases that would imply, at least to me, that there were none to submit. Also, I did clarify in later responses. I’ll keep that in mind if I attempt do go through the process again.

To some, it might mean not available, as in you don't have that information. When someone is asking for specific answerers, N/A isn't specific.

N/A means Not Applicable. I have never seen it on any kind of form and thought not available 😂
