Is it Possible to Be “Valiant” Without the “Thronebreaker” or “Paragon” Titles?

Title. Since “Valiant” has no 6* requirements, I’ve been wondering about this. And theoretically, would a player in this situation not have access to things like Thronebreaker EQ?

It’s theoretically possible? It would be difficult to hit Valiant without any 6* above rank 3, (and you get enough gems in Act 8 that I think you could get Paragon just using gems).

Someone is already working on this, unfortunately as a ftp, it is impossible until 9.1 comes out because you can't do Necro or SoS without Paragon

    Thx DNA, insightful.

In broader terms (even without the 6* vs 7* requirements), someone now could be jumping up 2+ levels all at once now as soon as this change hits.

And question would be (which DNA answered), whether it ONLY “instantly” jumps you to your TOP Progression now (bypassing all the other Titles, etc, inbetween).
Or whether it INCREMENTALLY advances you 1 step at a time (bak-2-bak, etc) (Title and all) over the 2 or 3 levels that you now qualify for.

Sounds like you will be credited with getting EVERY step along the way.

Potentially even all the way from Conqueror (or Proven) all the way to TB (for those that really didn’t like doing any of the ACT quests).

(sort of ironic that I just recently started getting back to my next ACT, that I haven’t touched in a while, and now I don’t need to, lol)

    This sounds absolutely brutal 😅
    I’m intrigued
Challenger (beginner) to TB, without touching ACT-2. (yes, “ACT”, not Book) 😀

Would miss out on a lot of Units, and Summoner Levels, Mastery, etc.

By next Wed. or Thurs. so that it is in a single jump once this takes effect.

*** Or at least do Challenger to Conqueror (5x of 5* r3)

I was wondering what I should do with this little brainstorm, so I'm just going to post it here for posterity.

I slept through the livestream so I'm still catching up on everything, but I did see the new progression table because its making the rounds. As soon as I saw it I had a flash of insight, where I could see where this was all going, and I'm going to make a prediction.

Sometime in the next year or so, Kabam is going to announce that players will be allowed to start Story in Book 2, without having to fully complete Book 1, if they are high enough in progression tier.

I think this is both inevitable, and solves a ton of problems. But I thought I would put my game design prognosticating hat to the test. I'm often saying things were obvious in retrospect, I should occasionally try to say when things seem obvious before they happen. And if I'm totally wrong, well that would also be worth a few laughs.

I’m not sure if allowing people to skip old chapters and jump to new ones will be beneficial to the community. I progressed through the chapters and their increasing levels of difficulty helped me learn the game. Allowing people to jump ahead may result in more posts about frustration in not able to complete a certain tough quest.

I'm not in favor of the new alternative way to get progression title.

    In theory 💯

    Would I recommend 100% act 8 and 1 necro run with 5/65s and R3s...no 😅

If 9.1 releases with a 2-3 gem (which I think is very possible looking at the past), I would probably attempt this as a challenge even if the game does override it and give you all the progression levels

You need to be paragon for necro so that wouldn't work
