Incorrect AW tier/difficulty map.

Our alliance is in AW Tier 6 but we are fighting on the Challenger map (Tiers 5 - 3) instead of the Hard one. Has anyone else experience this issue?

We are facing saga defenders when we weren't expecting to. Also, only two or three defenders per map are showing the green indicator that's it's a saga defender so our members didn't bring saga attackers to counter them resulting in very difficult fights.

Sometimes alliances get "up-matched" cause of kabams matchmaking.
Most times happens when youre close to ranking up in war tiers - happened my alliance several times over years already.

It's not about the matchmaking which would be more related to war rating and season rank. It's about the disparity between the map difficulty and the current tier. Tier 6 is the challenger map unless it was updated since the last war.

It's also about the saga defenders not being identified on the map. We shouldn't have to switch between an infographic and the map to see if we need to bring saga attackers as counters.

Yes it is about Matchmaking.
If you are in the upper end of the Tier-6 (Hard map) range, and you’re matched against an ally just across for Tier Border (so on the low end of Tier-5 Challenger map range).
Then game server “flips a coin” to determine which of the 2 Ally's “current” Tier Maps the match will be played on.
(Both teams play it on the same map. Even though the multiplier points you will each earn are still based on each teams “current” Tier Multiplier, not the Map)

(*and, fyi to clarify, matchmaking has nothing to do with current, or even prior season, Season Points Rank, only with War Rating)

Saga Defenders - Missing green Saga/Magica Icon.

** YES ** bugged, some champs seem to show the Green Icon, other champs don’t.

Several thread mention this issue already.
(done know if people have dived in depth yet to identify if it is specific to the actual champs, or if random or specific to Node #’s they are on, etc)

Thanks for the explanation. Perhaps these bugged icons only occur when these coin flips happen.
