I never understood why the person who got the last draft pick (slight advantage) also got to place defense second (slight advantage). I think the only change that should be made is to switch those so the slight advantages balance each other out.

I like the idea of simultaneous selection of defenders/attackers (and draft for that matter) as it would reduce the amount of time spent not fighting.
