Is the Deathless King Groot object for spring of sorrow an extra point?

Just wondering if you can reach all of the milestones for spring of sorrow if you don't do the deathless king groot objective for the Onslaught fight. (Or if you did that objective but skip a different one, like the Carina's challengers objective)
