My biggest issue with BG is

Kabam removed account strength as a parameter in matchmaking which I think is a good thing once the accounts normalise over a period of time. However the deathless piece isn't available after said period of time. I'm honestly having a tough time playing against valiants and high paragons. I'm stuck at diamond 1. If the normalisation has already happened then i probably wouldn't have to face valiants even towards the end of season. People stronger than me will already be in GC and I simply have to play against similar accounts as mine.
Thanks

    Easy but long.

The deathless piece will still be available, you will have to love arena though unfortunately.

Not easy for my roster against valiants. Certainly it's easier to climb with +2 and -1

Unfortunately I don't. I'm beyond frustrated as I'm still facing valiants who should be in GC at this point

"Should" is an interesting word. Why should they be? Just because of their progression? What i they barely play the mode

If u are still struggling then I don't know what to say as GC is filled with Valiants & many others

Yes that's where endgame players are

What I'm trying to say is it there was no seeding issue then most stronger players would be in GC already. But because they are seeded lower it's taking longer for them to climb VT.

With rewards given to doing "3 matches every 2 days", players who don't enjoy the format do the bare minimum for the rewards. That means... many valiant players will not be anywhere near GC / its up to them to decide when to "push through".

If those rewards were shifted into a 28 day event with a bunch of milestones that don't unlock on a certain day... some would push through faster (and others would wait even more until the last moment, but you wouldn't be facing those until the last few days).

False. There was no seeding issue last season and I was still Vib 3 at this exact time during the season (a day before season ended). I just grinded a ton that Tuesday night to reach my 300k minimum for the alliance. I actually work full-time and enjoy doing things outside of the game. I'm not some Celestial junkie.
    I'm saying most. Not all

They want participation every day, hence the 48 hour magnetron objective. I did my best to get the three fights / wins every two days and reached GC yesterday. I only lost 3 matches before that but I already lost two matches in GC.
I finished Bronze 1 or Silver 3 last season, so I am relieved to not have too many hard matches in VT.

You couldn't possibly be more wrong.

Last season I was in GC a day before the gc meta changed.

This season I was there with 10 days left of the season and put less work in to get there than I did last season, mostly doing the objectives every 2 days, with a bit of play in between, but not much.

The seeding disaster didn't make it as bad as you may think it did. It made it easier for those who didn't want to push to GC until the end alot easier, though because it would take them longer due to being further down in the ranks.

You also can buy the deathless piece with 30000 of the bg currency. It’s in the store in the deathless section.

It made it easier for those who wanted to push to GC a lot easier but it's harder for their opponents. I'm talking about their opponents whose rating is half or less than half. It's easier for a 3M rating account but if their opponents are 1.5M accounts then it's tougher for the opponents. Don't you think so?

It is unlikely that the seeding glitch is responsible for a widespread issue with lower strength players to be facing higher strength players at a higher than normal rate. The reason is due to the way that S19 makes promotion easier in general.

Because everyone was seeded lower in almost the same way, players who finished lower than GC would also be seeded lower than the GC players. The seeding glitch didn't just randomly shuffle everyone. S18 GC players were seeded down to Gold, but players who ordinarily would seed in Gold were pushed all the way down to Bronze. They did not start in the same tier. Everyone just moved down ten tiers.

Since there were more tiers to reach GC, it did take most players more matches to reach GC. However, that does not mean they were in VT for more *time*. I actually took more matches to reach GC this season, but I got there in much less time because promotion was far easier. Now, I suspect most players who faced easier promotion would just play more matches to promote quicker. But what about the players who didn't, and simply chose to play fewer matches anyway? Well, players who play fewer matches will also match against fewer players. They can't be responsible for large numbers of lower strength players matching against higher strength players, because they just don't match.

What can cause a lot of lower strength players to match against higher strength players is if those higher strength players are playing a lot but not promoting, so they get stuck in a tier. But how can you play a lot of matches and not promote? If you lose a lot - but if you're losing a lot you aren't beating up a lot of lower strength players. The other way is to sometimes play lower strength players and sometimes play higher strength players, and simply not get enough wins in a row to promote. In S18 that was easy, because you win one and lose one and your medals stay the same. In S19 you win one and lose one and you still are up a medal. To remain in a tier you have to lose two for every one you win. It is much harder to simultaneously a) beat up a lot of lower strength players and b) lose to even more higher strength players and not promote.

Every high strength player that starts in a low tier, or doesn't do many matches and therefore falls behind their peers in VT, will match against lower strength players and probably destroy them. But if they play a lot, they promote and eliminate themselves from the lower tiers. If they play very little, they can't match against many lower strength players in the first place. High verses low does happen, but in S19 it can't happen as often as it did in S18 above P2.

Seeding made the climb longer for everyone. But it was not responsible for wide strength mismatches. Players pushing faster than their peers and out-promoting them, causing them to run into higher strength players ahead of them, is primarily responsible for most of the wide mismatches that happen. And that's deliberate. If you are promoting faster than most of the players of your strength, then you should face stronger players. This is supposed to be self regulating unless a player is very stubborn and tries to push far beyond where everyone else of similar strength is at that moment in time.
